Gently close your eyes if you can or softly gaze in a direction that has minimal distractions.
Relax your jaw.
Drop the shoulders down away from the ears.
Place a hand over your heart,
Pressing lightly to feel your heart beating.
Begin bringing your attention to your breath.
See if you can sync your inhales and exhales with your heart.
Noticing how many beats it takes per inhale and how many beats it takes to exhale fully from the belly and out through the lungs.
Notice the pace in which your heart is beating.
See if you can use your breath to slow it down even more.
Bringing a sense of peace and calm to your heart.
Release any tightness in the chest with each breath.
Opening space for love,
Healing,
Forgiveness.
Giving yourself the space and permission to always return home.
To where it all started.
Beat by beat.
Taking a moment to remember you are always home.
Where you are safe,
Supported,
And most importantly,
Loved.
Use each breath to help you expand deeper into the heart space as you repeat these affirmations aloud or in your mind's eye.
I am here.
I am safe.
I can always return home.
Again.
I am here.
I am safe.
I am loved.
I can always return home.
And this is true.
When you are stuck,
Worried or anxious.
Feeling lost,
Confused,
Or your nervous system just feels unregulated.
Remember you can always return home,
Dear one.
You are always home.
Let's take one more breath together to finish this practice and seal these affirmations into our being.
Breathing in slowly and deeply into the belly.
Savoring this gift of an inhale.
Holding at the top for a moment.
Then with an audible sigh,
Maybe even a gentle smile,
Release it out through the mouth.
Begin bringing movement back into the body.
Wiggling fingers and toes.
Maybe taking a final sigh.
And slowly opening your eyes.
May you carry this heart center love with you as you move throughout your day or night.
