Oasis of Peace.
You wouldn't say I got a really good night's rest in 2019,
So it doesn't matter if I don't get any rest tonight.
We all know that sleep,
No matter how good it may once have been,
Is not much use to us now.
Interestingly,
We can say the same thing about peace.
We need to experience inner peace daily.
This peace should become the most sacred point of reference in our lives.
Also,
It should be inner peace and not just a peace that we find when the external situation is to our liking,
Such as a walk in beautiful nature.
Firstly,
Because peace is an innate quality of the soul,
Hence we should find it within ourselves.
Secondly,
It is not always possible to find beautiful nature to walk in,
Because most of us live in cities and have busy lives.
Sustainable,
Renewable peace is within us.
So how do I find this inner oasis of peace?
Let's begin.
Take a deep breath and hold it for a few moments.
Exhale slowly through your lips while saying the word relax to yourself.
Again,
Take a deep breath while silently saying to yourself relax.
Hold your breath for a few moments.
Exhale slowly through your lips while saying the words deeper relax to yourself.
One last time.
Take a deep breath while silently saying to yourself relax.
Hold your breath for a few moments.
Exhale slowly through your lips while saying the words deeper relax.
Imagine that you're stepping onto a descending escalator,
A long slow escalator that will take you into a state of deep relaxation.
As you begin your descent,
Silently say to yourself,
I am descending slowly into a deeper state of relaxation.
When you reach the bottom of the escalator,
Imagine that you're stepping onto a beautiful patch of luminous welcoming light.
Continue to breathe slowly and smoothly.
Your breath is slowing down,
Your body is completely relaxed and your mind is in total tranquility.
Silently keep repeating to yourself,
My mind is restored to its original state of tranquility.
I feel completely refreshed.
Now feeling it,
Seeing it and sensing it.
My mind is restored to its original state of tranquility.
I feel completely refreshed.
Again,
Feeling it,
Seeing it and sensing it.
My mind is restored to its original state of tranquility.
I feel completely refreshed.
Continue to breathe slowly and smoothly.
As you exhale,
Silently say the words deeper relax to yourself.
As you breathe,
Let the feelings of relaxation deepen for another few moments.
Again,
Take a deep breath while silently saying to yourself,
Relax.
Hold your breath for a few moments.
Exhale slowly through your lips while saying the words deeper relax silently to yourself.
Now see yourself stepping onto a second descending escalator.
As you descend,
Imagine that you're going deeper and deeper into a state of relaxation.
Silently say to yourself,
I am descending slowly into a deeper state of relaxation.
When you reach the bottom of the escalator,
Again imagine that you're stepping onto a beautiful patch of luminous welcoming light.
Continue to breathe slowly and smoothly.
Your body has disappeared and in its place there is only conscious light.
You are light and luminosity is your way of being in this moment.
You have no responsibilities in this moment.
You have forgotten your to-do lists and your dramas.
All you remember is you're a soul,
A being of light.
You savor the sweet stillness of this moment.
Your mind is quiet,
Stable,
Still and silent.
You have no conflicts in the mind.
This stillness allows you to gain mastery over your mind.
Silently keep repeating to yourself,
I the soul am a master of my mind.
Again really sensing it this time,
I the soul am a master of my mind.
Once more feeling it and seeing it,
I the soul am a master of my mind.
Everything about you and around you is peaceful.
There is a silent power pulsating through you.
You feel strong.
Continue to breathe slowly and smoothly.
As you exhale silently say the words deeper relax to yourself.
As you breathe in,
Let the feelings of relaxation deepen for another few moments.
Again take a deep breath while silently saying to yourself relax.
Hold your breath for a few moments.
Exhale slowly through your lips while saying the words deeper relax.
Now see yourself stepping onto a third descending escalator.
As you descend,
Imagine that you're going deeper and deeper into a state of relaxation.
Keep reminding yourself,
I'm descending slowly into a deeper state of relaxation.
You've reached the bottom of the escalator and you're stepping onto a beautiful patch of luminous welcoming light.
There is complete stillness here.
This is your oasis of peace.
Continue to breathe slowly and smoothly.
You're completely still and weightless here.
Your mind is totally serene.
Your whole being is filled with serenity.
There is no disturbance in your thoughts and in your feelings.
Your mind is as still as a mountain lake at dusk.
You the soul are completely uninfluenced and stable.
Keep reminding yourself,
I am light.
I am still.
My innate nature is peace.
Peace is within me the soul.
Again seeing it and sensing it.
I am light.
I am still.
My innate nature is peace.
Peace is within me the soul.
Slowly and gently,
While I count to three,
Come back to here and now.
One,
You're slowly ascending,
Coming back.
Two,
You're coming back and beginning to sense your surroundings.
Three,
You're in your room now,
Ready to take on your life with joy in your heart.
You come back totally recharged,
Renewed and strong.
You're totally at one with yourself.
Peace is your strength.
