Welcome to your autumn meditation.
We're letting go and opening to what comes next.
So wherever you are,
Find a restful position,
Seated or lying down,
And allow your shoulders to drop,
Your belly to relax,
Your legs to become heavy,
Feet soft,
Relaxing your hands,
Your heart,
Your neck,
And your face.
And then close your eyes,
Drawing the attention inwards,
Letting go of all outward distractions,
Fully tuning into your breath,
Taking deep breaths in,
Deep breath,
Becoming a little softer and with each exhalation letting go of tension,
Letting go of what you no longer need to hold on to right now,
Letting the breath carry away the noise,
The distractions,
The tension,
And your weight on your shoulders right now.
And then imagine yourself in a quiet,
Calm autumn forest,
The wind blowing around your ears,
The leaves falling down in warm yellow,
Red,
And orange,
The air is fresh,
Crisp,
Cold,
But there's something warm about this,
A freshness,
A sense of trust.
Imagine breathing the crisp air,
The leaves falling,
The soft earth under your feet,
Soft,
Cold earth,
Moss perhaps,
And the golden hour,
The sunlight filtering through the branches around you.
The air is cold,
Take a deep,
Slow breath here,
Listening to the leaves crunching under your feet.
And the sound is a reminder to us that change is part of life,
Everything we know and love.
And dislike will eventually pass and transform into something fresh,
Something new.
So perhaps you can feel a sense of letting go right now,
Letting go of the summer,
Letting go of what has been,
And nothing being labeled as one better than the other,
Just noticing the change,
Like the trees releasing their leaves when the time has come.
And perhaps you want to affirm for yourself,
Just sending it into the cells in your body,
I release what no longer serves me with ease and gratitude for what has been.
I release what no longer serves me with ease and gratitude.
Breathing into this and letting it settle.
And feel the space that is opening in that space where things are being let go of.
There's new space for new things to enter in this quiet,
Peaceful place.
Perhaps you want to affirm,
I honor the endings in my life as sacred moments of transformation.
I honor the endings in my life as moments of transformation.
And notice how the forest around you is just there,
Witnessing,
Not trying to change anything,
Not trying to nudge you in any direction,
Just holding you in its crispness.
There's no rush,
Just a changing of seasons.
I trust the rhythm of change,
And I'm in harmony with the cycles of life.
I trust the rhythm of change,
And I'm in harmony with the cycles of life.
And take another deep breath in,
And releasing with the exhale of all that you no longer wish to carry into this coming time.
Whatever it is,
Letting it drift away with the other leaves falling from the tree.
And now,
Keeping your gaze inward,
Just imagine looking up at the branches above,
Already bare in some places,
And yet alive with new things coming,
Growing out.
New buds are already forming inside the tree.
And so trusting that,
Just like that,
A new season is already emerging.
I am open,
I am curious about what is unfolding for me.
I am open,
I am curious about what is unfolding for me.
Breathing into that curiosity,
Not as a need to be there,
Reaching for it,
Just an observation,
Just a wondering what wants to grow next.
And letting that be,
And just feeling the gratitude for all the moments that have brought you here,
To this moment.
Gratitude for all the lessons,
All the challenges,
All the joyful moments that have made you who you are here today.
Exactly what needed to happen.
Perhaps affirming with me,
I'm grateful for what has been,
I'm ready for what's coming.
I am grateful for what has been,
And ready for what is coming.
And now notice the quality in your body.
How does that feel?
Observing like the forest,
Letting the leaves fall,
Letting the buds grow,
In full trust.
This is how it has always been,
And will always be.
Feeling the gentle rising and falling of your breath,
On the grounding earth beneath you.
Still in the forest,
Let's take another deep breath into the crisp air,
Filling our lungs,
Our whole system with this nourishing freshness,
And exhaling,
Letting go.
And as we in a moment return to our rooms,
Our spaces,
Let's see if we can carry this remembrance with us.
That all things shall pass,
And like the trees in autumn,
You are allowed to release,
To rest,
And to begin again.
Trusting the process of change.
Let's take three deep breaths into that,
In through the nose,
And out with a sigh,
Out the mouth,
Deep in through the nose,
Letting go.
One more time,
Inhale,
And exhale.
And then whenever you're ready,
You can come back into your space,
And carrying this calm curiosity into wherever you go.
