I invite you to find a comfortable position,
Either laying down or seated.
If it feels comfortable for you,
Slowly close your eyes,
Otherwise just let your gaze soften.
Simply begin by focusing on your breath.
Notice the natural rhythm of your breath.
Acknowledge that thoughts will come and go,
And that's completely fine.
Start by taking a deep breath in and out.
Inhale for five counts.
Exhale for five counts.
Allow your body to completely relax and surrender.
Just notice how it feels to be in your body,
Breathing deeply in and out.
When you take your next breath in,
Pause for a moment before you breathe out.
Begin to notice this subtle pause between each breath.
As you breathe in,
Allow your body to expand.
As you breathe out,
Allow your body to soften.
Notice how calm and relaxed you feel.
I now invite you to bring your awareness back to the space you're in.
Picture what's around you.
Bring your awareness to any sounds or aromas.
Slowly begin to wriggle your fingers and toes.
Just let go of any thinking about your breath and come back to your natural rhythm of breath.
Feel free to rest here for as long as you need,
And when you feel ready,
Gently open your eyes.
