Hello beautiful being.
I am so happy to be here with you today.
Today's practice is for accepting and sending love to our anxiety.
For anyone who has felt the grasp of anxiety,
There is a heavy weight that often feels like it is keeping us from truly living,
Keeping us from flowing and experiencing this life.
It can be a constant battle,
A seemingly endless suffering.
In my own journey with anxiety,
I am learning that though this is a deep-rooted part of me and has been for some time,
It is not all of me.
My anxiety often ends up guiding me to more clarity,
More understanding of myself and my strength,
More shedding to get to the root of my power.
In some of my darkest moments and years with anxiety,
I have found that each time it has arrived like a teacher asking me to step further into my truth and strength.
It has arrived at my door so often that I am learning to welcome it as I do the joy in life.
I am learning that I can accept and send love to it too.
My hope is that today's practice allows you to look at your anxiety not as something that makes you feel less than but as something that can guide you and that you can transform into love too.
If you are struggling today or have been for some time,
Please know that you are not alone in this.
Though it can feel lonely and isolating,
You are connected.
You have showed up today to witness your anxiety.
You are doing so well and your existence is so needed on this earth.
To begin,
We are going to get comfortable in our place of practice and just close our eyes,
Palms at your knees facing up toward the sky.
Go ahead and take a deep breath in and out.
And one more.
And out.
Now I would like for you to imagine your anxiety coming into form in front of you as if it is a small object you could fit in the palm of your hands.
Just slowly let it leave your body little by little and come into something physical.
Whether it be a particular worry,
Fear,
Cycle of thought,
Go ahead and let that form with it too.
It may have a shape to it.
It may look like a specific object.
Perhaps there is a particular color to it as well.
I'm going to give you a moment to just let it continue to form in front of you.
Now that you can see this object in front of you,
I want you to imagine yourself holding this object in your hands as if to provide a safe place for it to rest.
We are going to send it some love and understanding now.
Looking at this object and just kind of studying it with your eyes and heart,
I would like you to repeat after me,
Dear anxiety,
I love you and I am listening to you.
I know that you come to visit because we are like old friends.
I know sometimes I cannot see the light in you but I know it's there.
I accept you as part of my life.
I accept that you push me to grow out of the places that are too small to contain the universe that is me.
I know that you do not wish to harm me but wish to grow with me.
I want you to know that it is not your fault,
Dear anxiety,
That you sometimes come into form with panic.
I accept that you are here sometimes because you are afraid to let go but we will be okay.
I am the expansive universe holding you and I have the power to transform and let you be free.
I send you love.
I send you healing and though no one has ever taken the time to tell you,
I love you and you are beautiful just for being.
Go ahead and take a deep breath in and as you let it out,
Imagine this object slowly being carried away with the wind,
Just slowly vanishing into the sky.
Now I would like for you to take a moment to be with yourself with this freedom and knowing that you are so much greater than the anxiety itself,
With the wisdom that you can pull it out of you and let it free,
That you have tapped into the power that is you and sent it love and understanding.
Sometimes the darkest feelings can make us feel powerless or that we are so much smaller than them but taking the time to see them as tiny objects that we can see and pull out of us is a beautiful reminder that though they are part of us,
They are not all of us.
They are not the ones who get to decide or choose.
You are free love.
You are the universe.
You have the say.
After today your anxiety may come to ask for your understanding again.
It may rise out of nowhere in the middle of what seems like the perfect day but please remember that it is like an old friend just here for a visit helping us to release and remind ourselves just a little more.
I hope this practice helped you understand the love and never-ending power that you are.
This practice can be used for any emotions or struggles you are facing so feel free to come back to it whenever you need to offer acceptance,

And release.
