Welcome love,
Find a posture that feels comfortable,
Lying down,
Sitting back,
Resting however your body is asking to be held.
If it feels safe for you today,
Just softening your gaze or closing your eyes.
Take a slow,
Steady breath in through your nose and release it softly through your mouth.
Allow each breath to invite you deeper into presence.
Notice the points of contact between your body and the surface beneath you.
Feel the steady support holding your weight.
Allow your shoulders to soften,
Your jaw to unclench,
Your hands to rest easily.
Bring one hand to your heart if that feels right,
And notice the rise and fall of your chest.
You are here.
You are safe enough to simply be.
For so long the world has asked you to wear masks,
To adjust,
To perform,
To soften edges or brighten your voice so you could be accepted.
These masks were never a failure.
They were a protection.
They helped you move through spaces that did not always feel safe.
But beneath every mask,
There has always been you,
Your beautiful soul,
Patient,
Steady,
Waiting.
Imagine now that you are standing before a mirror,
Or perhaps sitting across from yourself.
Not the self shaped by performance,
But the self who has been waiting quietly,
Behind every role and expectation.
Notice their face,
The softness in their eyes,
The way their shoulders are more relaxed,
The way their breath moves freely.
Take a moment to simply be with them.
Feel what it's like to meet this version of yourself.
Perhaps there's tenderness.
Perhaps grief.
Perhaps relief.
Whatever arises,
Allow it to be here.
This is your reunion.
If it feels right,
Imagine placing a hand over theirs,
A gesture of recognition,
Of acceptance,
Of love.
Sit or stand with this true self,
Breathing together.
No performance,
No mask,
Just presence.
Notice the way your body feels in their company,
Notice the quiet belonging,
Notice the gentle return to yourself.
As this meditation draws to a close,
Remember,
This self is never far.
Even when the mask feels unnecessary,
Even when the roles feel heavy,
This true self remains within you,
Steady and whole.
Take a deep breath in and release it with a sigh.
When you are ready,
Begin to bring movement back into your fingers and toes.
Open your eyes slowly.
Carry with you the memory of this reunion,
A reminder that behind every mask,
You have always been there.
And as always,
Remember,
You are loved.
You are enough.
You are whole.
