Welcome to your grounded and growing meditation.
Taking some time to find a comfortable seated position.
Really prioritizing comfort here.
The base of your body heavy and held.
As you get this sense of the weightedness of the base of your body,
Could you just start to open your eyes and slowly look around the room,
The space you're in.
Simultaneously feeling this weight,
The base of your body.
And broadening your gaze,
Slowly gazing around the space.
Feeling how your neck moves to look around,
Maybe looking above you and behind you as well,
Just slowly gazing around the space,
While simultaneously feeling the weight of your base.
When you're ready,
Closing down your eyes or softening your gaze,
Beginning to notice your breath.
With every exhale,
Could you allow more weight to be held by the earth?
As you allow more weight to be held by the earth,
Could you notice the hands unclenching,
The soles of the feet softening,
The shoulders descending away from the ears.
And with that sense of descending,
Grounding,
Could you notice a natural lift of the crown of the head?
It's like the more that you ground down,
The more your spine is able to reach up and grow.
So,
Feeling simultaneously this grounding down and reaching up,
Like all of the bones,
The muscles of the peripheral of the body are descending down,
Being held.
And with that,
There's a natural growing up,
A reaching up of the spine,
Spaciousness created between the discs.
As you next naturally exhale,
Could you imagine roots growing out of your tailbone and down and into the earth?
Feeling them wriggle their way through the sand,
The dirt,
The rocks,
The bugs,
The water,
Organic matter,
Roots reaching and splitting,
Reaching and splitting,
Meandering into the earth,
Grounding you in this familiar darkness,
Getting a sense of all of the nutrients,
The soil,
The earth,
Once your roots have grown down,
Descended enough.
With your next inhale,
You breathe in from the tip of your roots,
All the way back up,
Through the roots,
Through the soil,
And all the way up your spine to the crown of your head.
As you pulse your breath at the crown of your head,
Could you notice a flower bud here?
Just noticing the qualities of the flower bud,
Perhaps its color.
And as you breathe here now,
With every inhale,
There's like a natural,
Tender opening.
The petals naturally,
Slowly uncurling.
With every exhale,
There's a sense of settling into this newfound openness and unravelling,
Allowing a sense of ease here,
There's no rush.
The petals of this flower naturally opening in their own time.
This flower supported by its roots,
Grounded into the earth,
Being fed by nutrients,
Feeling ready to open naturally,
Getting a sense of the grounding that's needed to support opening,
And still the bravery and naturalness that's present here,
This tender,
Vulnerable flower to open to the world,
To life.
As the flower opens,
Notice its qualities,
Its color,
Texture,
Perhaps its aroma.
And as the flower opens,
Could you soften the skin on your face,
Feeling the natural reach and rise of your spine,
Opening your mind like a beautiful flower to life,
Opening to this moment,
To life meeting you here,
Like flowers open to the sun,
To the rain,
Grounded and growing,
Opening to life.
Maybe your flower has like a gentle sway,
Or is completely still here,
Feeling and experiencing yourself as a flower,
Grounded and growing,
Opening to life,
Receiving,
Remembering your true nature.
Noticing here if there are any affirmations,
Colors,
Frequencies that your flower has for you to remember this quality,
This feeling.
Coming back to the breath,
And back to the sounds of the space,
The textures and temperatures on your skin,
Honoring this flower within,
Thanking yourself for your practice.
In your own time,
Gently opening your eyes,
Coming back into the space,
Giving yourself permission to take the fruits of the practice into the rest of your life,
Allowing yourself to be grounded and growing.
Thank you so much for joining me.
