Hello and welcome.
Thank you for joining me for this walking meditation.
As we're standing at the beginning of our walk together,
Whether you're at your front door,
Or the edge of a path,
Or on a treadmill,
Just pause for the moment and feel your feet on the ground.
Feel the earth beneath you supporting you,
Holding you,
Exactly as you are.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Hold it for a moment,
And then exhale through your mouth,
Softening your shoulders.
Let it go of anything you're carrying from before this moment.
This walk is for you,
And this time is yours.
When you're ready,
Begin to walk at a gentle,
Comfortable pace.
No need to go too fast.
This isn't about getting somewhere.
This is about arriving right where you are.
As you walk,
Bring your awareness into your body.
Feel your feet connecting with the ground,
One step at a time.
Feel your legs moving,
Your arms swinging gently at your sides.
You feel alive,
You feel wonderful,
You're moving,
And you're here.
Now,
Notice the rhythm of your breath,
Not changing it at all,
Just noticing.
In-breath,
Out-breath.
Your body knows how to do this.
Your body knows how to breathe,
How to move,
How to be.
Trust it.
Now,
With each step,
Repeat silently to yourself,
I am here,
I am whole,
I am enough.
Just keep going.
I am here,
I am whole,
I am enough.
Now,
As you walk,
Imagine that with every step,
You are leaving something behind.
With each footfall,
You release one worry,
One expectation,
One voice that tells you you're not enough.
Take a step,
Release the need to prove yourself.
Taking another step,
Releasing the weight of comparison.
Taking another step,
Releasing the fear of what others think.
And another step,
Releasing the pressure to be anything other than exactly who you are.
These are not yours to carry.
They never were.
Let them fall away with each step,
Left behind on the path as you walk forward into freedom.
Now,
Bring to mind something,
Anything,
That brings you joy.
It could be a person,
A place,
A memory,
A simple pleasure like sunshine on your face,
The smell of rain,
Just one thing.
As you walk,
Let that feeling of joy expand in your chest.
Feel it warming you from the inside.
This joy is yours.
It's valid.
It's enough.
You do not need to justify it or explain it.
It's simply part of who you are.
With each step,
Repeat,
My joy is enough.
I am enough.
Again,
My joy is enough.
I am enough.
And I want you to know this,
When you allow yourself to feel joy,
You give others permission to feel it too.
Your joy ripples outward,
Touching the world in ways you may never know.
Now,
Place a gentle hand on your heart as you walk,
If that feels comfortable.
If not,
Just imagine your hand there.
Feel your heart beating beneath your palm.
This heart has carried you through every joy,
Every sorrow,
Every ordinary moment.
It has never stopped.
It has never given up on you.
Send some love to this heart.
Send love to the body that carries you.
Send love to this mind that thinks and dreams and wonders.
And send love to the whole of you,
Every part,
Every scar,
Every beautiful imperfection.
With each step,
Whisper,
I love myself.
I am complete.
I am home.
Again,
I love myself.
I am complete.
And I am home.
As we're nearing the end of our time together,
I want you to know that this practice doesn't end here.
These five affirmations are yours to carry into the rest of your day.
Repeat them after me,
Silently or aloud,
And let them sink deep into your soul.
Let's begin.
I am complete exactly as I am.
I release the need to prove myself.
My joy is enough.
My presence is enough.
And I am enough.
I love myself deeply and that love radiates outward.
I share my authentic self with the world freely and without fear.
As you continue walking,
Or maybe begin to slow down,
Take one more deep breath in.
And as you exhale,
I want you to know this.
You are not walking toward becoming enough.
You have always been enough.
You are simply walking home to yourself.
Carry these words with you today.
And when doubt arises,
Remember,
I am complete.
I am whole.
I am enough.
Walk on,
Beautiful soul.
You're exactly where you need to be.
Namaste.
