Tomasz Kopec

Dr Tomasz has worked as a GP in the NHS for over twenty years. During that time, he has observed that many of the difficulties people struggle with, including anxiety, poor sleep, chronic pain, overeating, and the inability to switch off, often come down to one thing: an attention system that has lost its flexibility. Fifteen years ago, he began teaching Open Focus Attention Training alongside his medical practice. He uses it himself every day and has found it to be a practical way of calming the mind and relaxing the body, often within minutes, without requiring belief in any particular philosophy or years of practice to experience its effects. Over the years, he has seen how improving attention flexibility can help reduce anxiety, support better sleep, ease chronic pain, and quiet the kind of food noise and cravings that willpower alone often struggles to address. More recently, he developed a personality framework based on attention styles. His goal was to create something he could easily explain to patients, a model with a clear and understandable mechanism rather than simply another technique to follow.
