Hello,
And welcome to tonight's guided yoga nidra sleep meditation.
My name is Tony Myers and I'm delighted to be here with you to guide you through this restful,
Restorative sleep meditation to help you to have a very peaceful,
Rejuvenating night's sleep.
Before we begin our journey into slumber,
I invite you to take a moment just to prepare your bed for the night,
And if you need to,
Just kindly set an alarm.
When you're ready to do so,
Just lie down in your bed in a comfortable position and adjust your body any way that you need to so you're absolutely relaxed.
Allow your arms to rest naturally beside your body and just let your body find its own position of ease and comfort.
And then when you're ready to do so,
I invite you just to gently close your eyes and then become aware of your whole body,
Your whole body,
Just lying comfortably at ease in your bed.
Then we'll just shift our attention now to be mindful of your breath as you breathe in and as you breathe out,
And just watch your breath as it just starts to slowly shift into a more calmer,
Peaceful rhythm.
And as you're lying comfortably in your bed,
It's important to understand that when we practice yoga nidra,
All we have to do is just to simply listen to the instructions in the background.
No need to intellectualize or analyze the thoughts,
And you have permission at any time to remain aware or to pleasantly drift off into a peaceful slumber.
And for this yoga nidra practice,
As your body settles into a state of deep peace,
We will gently explore affirmations of gratitude.
I invite you now to take four easy diaphragmatic breaths.
We'll take a pleasant breath in through the nose,
Breathing into your belly,
And imagine you are drawing in peace and calmness.
And as you slowly breathe out through your nose,
Just release anything that no longer serves you,
And settle in to a space of deep gratitude for all of the good things that you have had in your life.
Then we'll take another peaceful breath in through the nose,
Breathing into the belly,
Filling your heart with a feeling of deep appreciation for all of the amazing new good things that are coming your way.
Then as you slowly breathe out,
We're just softening and surrendering.
Then we'll take one more peaceful deep breath in,
Filling yourself with the vibrant energy of the abundance and prosperity of the universe and the quantum field of infinite potentiality.
And as you breathe out,
Just feeling a sense of deep faith and confidence in the universe to provide you with everything that you need,
Let's go on a journey to guide the body and mind into a more deeper,
Peaceful,
Tranquil state.
So,
Let's start by allowing a wave of deep relaxation to begin to flow into your right hand,
Feel the warmth of that relaxation flow into your fingertips,
Washing over the palm and the back of your hand,
Then feel the warmth of that peaceful relaxation flow into your wrist,
Into your forearm,
Your elbow,
Feel the warmth of that relaxation flow into your upper arm,
Into your shoulder,
And then just feel your entire right arm completely heavy,
Completely at ease,
And safe in this moment,
Then we'll allow that deep relaxation now to flow into the right side of our chest,
Your tummy,
Allow the warmth of that peaceful relaxation flow into your hips,
Your thigh,
Your right leg,
Feel the wave of that deep relaxation begin to flow into your knee,
Your right calf,
Your right ankle,
Then feel that peaceful warmth of the relaxation flow into your foot,
And all of the right toes,
And then just allow the whole right side of your body to soften,
Relax,
And release with the warmth of that peaceful relaxation,
Now we will allow that same wave of peaceful relaxation flow into the left hand,
Feel the warmth of that peaceful relaxation flowing into your palm,
And your fingertips,
Feel the flow of that peaceful relaxation flowing into your wrist,
Your left forearm,
Then feel the warmth of that peaceful relaxation flow into your left upper arm,
Allow it flow into your shoulder,
Your whole left arm and shoulder is very heavy,
Peaceful,
And relaxed,
Then we'll start to allow that peaceful relaxation flowing into the left side of your chest,
The left side of your tummy,
Feel that peaceful relaxation flowing into your hips,
Your left thigh,
Then feel that peaceful relaxation flowing into your left knee,
Left calf,
Left ankle,
And then allow that peaceful relaxation to settle in your left foot,
And all of the toes of the left foot,
Beautiful,
Your whole left side of the body now is very heavy,
Relaxed,
And at ease,
And as you're softening and relaxing in your bed even more now,
Just start to feel the warmth of that deep relaxation flowing into all the muscles under the knee,
Just allow the warmth of that relaxation to flow through the back of your ankles,
Allow the relaxation to flow into the back of your calves,
The back of your legs,
Feel the warmth of the relaxation soften and flow into your buttocks,
The lower back,
The upper back,
Allow the relaxation to soften and flow into your shoulders,
And allow the warmth of the relaxation soften your shoulders,
And the relaxation starts to flow into the back of the head,
Allow the warmth of that relaxation to relax your jaw,
Your ears,
Allow the warmth of that relaxation to relax the forehead,
The right eye,
The left eye,
Allow the warmth of the relaxation to relax your nose,
Your cheeks,
And all of the tiny muscles in the face start to soften and relax.
With the warmth of that peaceful relaxation,
And as you're surrendering and relaxing even more now,
Just allow that peaceful relaxation to flow into your whole body,
Your whole body,
Your entire body now is completely peaceful,
Supported,
And you feel very safe and secure,
With a deep sense of knowing that everything is going to be okay.
So as you're immersing and all your needs are met,
Give yourself permission now to deeply sleep until the morning,
Your mind is at peace,
Your body is at rest,
And you know it's safe to sleep completely throughout the whole night until the morning.
Everything is going to be okay,
As you sleep deeply until the morning,
You are safe,
You are held,
Everything is going to be okay.
Allow yourself now to drift into the deepest,
Peaceful,
Restorative sleep that you've ever had.
