Hey there!
Today's meditation is for anyone who's been through a hard season and is slowly and gently finding their way back.
This time of year is often associated with new beginnings and sticking to that theme,
Today we're talking about the courage to get back up.
Find a comfortable spot and seat.
Let your body and mind settle.
Find a little pause and ease in this moment.
Let your shoulders and forehead soften.
Take a slow breath in through your nose and a relaxing breath out through the mouth.
One more,
Make it a good one.
In and out.
If the past few weeks or months have felt heavy,
Let yourself acknowledge that here.
You don't need to explain it,
You don't need to justify it.
Just notice and maybe you're thinking,
Yeah this has been a lot.
Take a cycle of breath here to ground yourself.
Take another gentle breath in and as you exhale imagine placing that weight down beside you.
Not forever,
Just for now.
Now bring your attention to your breath.
Feel the simple rhythm of inhale and exhale.
This is life moving through you,
Even on the days it doesn't feel like much.
You are still breathing,
Still here,
Still becoming.
Imagine yourself like the earth after winter.
Nothing looked busy on the surface but beneath it something was quietly preparing to grow.
With each inhale invite in a little courage and energy.
With each exhale release what you can let go.
A little stress,
A little fear,
Or any doubt or resistance.
Let it go.
Remind yourself that you are allowed to begin again,
Over and over,
Many times over if needed.
Slow and steady and gently at your own pace.
Let your heart receive that reminder.
Breathe it in and breathe it out.
Picture yourself standing up.
This is your comeback moment with steady legs,
Strong breath and heart.
It's not loud,
Not performative or dramatic,
Just real.
Whether it's your first time or your hundredth,
You're giving yourself a second chance to get back up again and there's nothing braver than that.
You're not the same as before.
You're wiser from your mistakes and more honest with yourself now.
Take a renewing breath in and releasing breath out.
Let this comeback honor where you've been and what you've been through to get here today.
When you're ready gently return your awareness to your breath and body.
Speak a kind word of encouragement or gratitude for being here today.
And with this quiet strength,
Take another round of breath.
Make it count.
And until next time,
Have a good one.
