Hey there!
Today's practice is not about holding on to youth,
But about remembering that part of you that's always alive,
Curious,
And full of wonder.
Go ahead and find a comfortable position to start.
Settle in.
Sit up tall.
Let your shoulders drop.
Take a deep,
Settling breath in through the nose,
And slow breath out through the nose.
Once again,
Deep breath in,
Long breath out.
Feel the breath move through you like a quiet reset.
As you continue settling in,
Now gently bring to mind a time when you felt light-hearted and silly,
Just having a carefree good time.
Maybe laughing with friends or family,
Dancing without a care,
Or discovering something for the first time.
Notice the feeling behind that memory,
That spark of playfulness,
The openness and the freedom.
This enthusiastic energy still lives inside you.
So take another slow breath in,
And full breath out.
Let this bright,
Joyful energy tickle your heart as it expands.
It's full of life and happiness.
With each inhale,
That energy spreads throughout your whole body,
Warming your arms,
Your hands,
Your mind.
And with each exhale,
It clears away the heaviness of worry and stress.
Let this energy remind you,
Your body changes,
Your life evolves,
But your spirit,
That part that laughs easily,
That still gets amazed by a sunrise,
Or excited by a song,
That part never grows old.
And as you rest here,
See if you can sense that youthful energy bubbling quietly under the surface.
It's what helps you notice beauty,
Helps you forgive faster,
And dream bigger.
Now silently repeat to yourself,
My heart stays open,
My mind stays curious,
My spirit stays young.
Read these words in,
Feel them settle into you.
Take one last deep breath in,
And let it out completely.
Feel refreshed,
Light,
And fully present.
As you open your eyes,
Or return to the space around you,
Keep this sense of forever young with you,
Not as an age,
But as a way of being.
And until next time,
Have a good one.
