Good morning and welcome in.
Take a moment to find a comfortable position,
Whether you're sitting upright or maybe even relaxing in bed.
Wherever you are,
Let your eyes close or soften your gaze and bring your attention to your breath.
Inhale deeply,
Letting the air fill your lungs,
And exhale slowly,
Releasing tension from your body.
With each breath,
Feel yourself arriving fully in this moment,
Ready to connect with yourself.
For these few minutes,
There is nothing else that you need to do,
Nowhere else that you need to go,
And no one else that you need to be.
We'll begin by gently scanning your body from head to toe.
Start off at the top of your head,
Let your awareness wash down through your body,
Noticing how each part of you feels without judgment.
Are there areas of tension or ease?
Just observe.
Take a moment to roll your shoulders,
Wiggle your fingers,
Or stretch if that feels good.
Let your body know that you're listening,
And that you're here to care for it today.
Now bring to mind something that you feel grateful for this morning,
It could be as small as the comfort of your bed,
Or as deep as the relationships in your life.
Hold that feeling of gratitude for a few breaths,
Letting it fill your heart and lift your spirit.
Take a moment to reflect on yesterday,
What went well?
What brought you a sense of accomplishment,
Joy,
Happiness?
Now consider if there's anything from yesterday that you want to carry forward into today.
It might be a lesson,
An intention,
Or simply a good feeling.
And as we turn our attention to the day ahead,
What's important today?
Not everything that could happen,
But the things that truly matter.
What aligns with your values,
Your goals,
And your well-being.
It's easy to get distracted by so many demands,
But let these priorities come into focus,
Giving yourself permission to let go of all the noise and distractions.
As you think about what's important,
Take a moment to set an affirmation for the day.
It could be something like,
I choose to focus on what matters most,
Or I have the clarity and calm to handle today's challenges.
Repeat your affirmation silently or out loud,
Letting it anchor you for the day ahead.
When you're ready,
Take a deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Gently open your eyes or lift your gaze,
And carry the sense of focus,
Gratitude,
And calm with you as you step into your day.
You've started your morning with this intention,
And this intention will guide you through whatever the day brings.
You may need to actively slow yourself down and remind yourself of your intention today,
But the more you practice and build this muscle,
The easier it becomes.
So please come back to this practice or others.
Center yourself before you start your day.
You've got this.
Take care.
