Prayer Challenge: 9 Days Of Miracles And Beyond Day 3

Good morning.

God morning to you.

Hail Mary,

Full of grace,

The Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women,

And blessed is the fruit of your womb,

Jesus.

Holy Mary,

Mother of God,

Pray for us sinners,

Now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

I learned that when I was a little girl.

I never was told to pray it.

I never saw anyone praying it consistently.

My grandma kept a rosary.

She was buried with one.

I wish I had one of hers.

My mom thinks that there may be one in storage back home in St.

Louis,

But I feel more connected to her now that I do pray it.

And in the beginning,

It felt silly,

Even though I've chanted tens of thousands,

Hundreds of thousands of rounds of Ram and Hare Krishna,

And even the Jesus prayer,

Lord Jesus Christ,

Have mercy on me.

But I'd never prayed the rosary until last year,

And I can't yet share everything that has happened since then.

But I feel like you can sense the difference in how I share,

And hopefully in what you feel.

And I also know that you've come to trust me,

And that I don't share anything for no reason.

That I only share when I'm excited.

That I only share when I've been helped.

Because then I have to help.

My whole life has changed in the last nine months,

For the better,

In ways that I could have never imagined.

In some ways I imagined,

But in many ways that I could have never imagined.

I have been blessed beyond measure,

And I have to bless you at my meditation meetup over the weekend.

I gave away rosaries had a hundred of them blessed with holy water.

I will teach you how to pray it,

But it takes a little bit of time.

Not because it's complicated,

But because there is a spirit,

A devotion about it that I just need a little bit more time than one of these short episodes to explain.

But until then,

If you don't have one,

Get one.

And don't just get any one,

Don't just get on Amazon,

Get on Etsy,

Find a used one,

Find an antique one,

Find one that is aesthetically beautiful.

Lewis says,

We do not want merely to see beauty,

Though God knows even that is bounty enough.

We want something else,

Which can hardly be put into words,

To be united with the beauty we see,

To pass into it,

To receive it into ourselves,

To bathe in it,

To become a part of it.

When you're holding a rosary,

And saints like Mother Teresa held one constantly,

They were never seen without it.

When you're holding it,

You're holding your mother's hand.

She's holding the other end.

She's praying with you,

In you,

For you.

There's a beautiful story of someone that was close to death.

They had a near-death experience,

And they became aware of their family in the waiting room of the hospital,

While their body was in the emergency room.

And they see their family praying the rosary,

And just above them,

They see Mother Mary.

And when they came back,

Too,

When they became aware of their body again,

They never missed a day of praying the rosary,

Because they learned that just like it says in the prayer,

The Lord is with thee,

The Lord is with her,

She's with you.

Close your eyes,

And do as I do.

Just lean your head to the side a little bit,

Like you're resting it on someone that you can't see.

I lean mine to the right,

And I'm usually rocking like I am now,

Back and forth.

Sometimes side to side,

But right now,

Back and forth.

These are postures that we can assume to become aware of the presence,

Not to invite the presence in,

Not to invoke it.

It's been here.

Our attention had gone,

But this presence never leaves.

You're never alone.

Speak to it,

Tell it,

I love you,

Too.

I was playing Pokemon cards with my son last night after homework,

And I don't know what the rules are.

He doesn't know what the rules are.

We're just playing and laughing,

And I was helping him clean them up,

And I noticed like spread out on the floor were these very familiar love notes that I had written him over the years and put in his lunchbox every day.

I never thought about what he did with them.

I just assumed they'd get thrown out at lunch,

After lunch,

Because when I'd unpack his lunchbox in the evening,

They weren't there.

He kept them.

When I asked him,

I said,

You kept them?

And he said,

I'm gonna keep them for the rest of my life.

It was,

I didn't cry,

But it was heart melting.

It felt like when I say,

I love you,

Too.

That was his way of saying,

I love you,

Too.

Right now,

Jesus is saying,

Be patient,

Be patient.

I could change things in one night,

And I will.

But until then,

You have to feel,

Just feel sometimes,

What you don't want to feel.

That thorn in your side that you've been begging for me to remove.

That issue that seems so long-standing.

Feel it,

And know that my grace is your sufficiency.

My power is made perfect in your weakness.

My spirit,

My anointing,

Is on you when you're filling it.

And that's why when you fully fill it,

When you stop avoiding it,

You fill me,

Too.

And that's the healing.

That's the door that I've been standing at,

Waiting for you to answer,

So I can change your life,

So I can walk in.

I want you to affirm there is nothing to heal,

Only God to reveal.

Light.

You're going to take a candle,

Blessed Lord,

And my beloved mother,

Mary,

Accept this burning candle Accept this burning candle as a sign of my faith and love for you.

Like this candle,

I am ready to be used in your service,

Without asking why and to what purpose.

Even as this candle,

I wish to stand in your presence to be consumed in the light and warmth of your love.

Please hear my prayer,

And if it is your will,

Grant my petition.

Above all,

Make me loyal and faithful to you in all circumstances of my life.

Amen.

I found this prayer next to the votive candles at church,

And snapped a picture of it.

And every time I light a candle,

I feel like I'm lighting myself.

I'm lighting my awareness.

I can feel my halo.

I can feel a fire around my heart.

I can feel the fire in your spirit.

Don't let anyone put it out today.

No one is worth that.

No situation is worth that.

Fill the thorn in your side.

Fill the jealousy,

Or the anger,

Or the sadness,

Or the guilt,

Or the grief.

Fill it.

But ask,

Is love here too?

Is he here too?

Or Mother Mary,

Help me have the courage to finally sit here and feel this without reaching for a snack or a drink.

Or more work,

Or a nap.

If you want to get to the next level,

If you want to get to the promise,

This is the way,

That's the door,

The one you're afraid to enter.

He's waiting right there.

Let's pray to him.

These are Jesus's words to your soul.

How many things I do in the soul,

And so much spiritual and material need,

Turns to me,

Looks at me,

And says to me,

You take care of it,

And closes its eyes and rests.

In pain you pray for me to act,

But that I act in the way you want.

You do not turn to me,

Instead you want me to adapt your ideas.

You are not sick people who ask the doctor to cure you,

But rather sick people who tell the doctor how to.

So do not act this way,

But pray as I taught you in the Our Father.

Hallowed be thy name,

That is be glorified in my need.

Thy kingdom come,

That is let all that is in us and in the world be in accord with your kingdom.

Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven,

That is in our need decide as you see fit for our temporal and eternal life.

If you say to me truly thy will be done,

Which is the same as you saying you take care of it,

I will intervene with all my omnipotence and I will resolve the most difficult situations.

Mother,

In the short time we've spent together,

We prayed the Hail Mary and we prayed the Our Father.

That's the whole rosary.

Just those prayers repeated,

But they're repeated in the background,

Like the background music in the foreground.

You're doing this contemplative meditation on the life of Jesus,

On your other life.

Bhakti yoga,

The yoga of devotion,

The yoga of love,

The yoga of two,

A you and God,

Allowed me to experience a love so full that it spilled over and became this podcast back in May of 2021.

Before then,

For a decade,

I was practicing non-dualism.

Neither are true,

Non-dualism or dualism,

Only this love is.

And it's not even one,

You can't say anything.

But what I can say now,

When I first initially found bhakti and felt like I was moving backwards in my meditative life,

In my prayer life,

After years,

I recognize that this is the pinnacle,

Praying to God,

Knowing there's only God.

While you appear to be here,

You pray,

You love,

You worship.

The Bible says even if there were no humans here to praise God,

To sing God's name,

The rocks would,

The trees do.

I saw a science article yesterday that said healthy soil sings.

No matter which name of God you pray to,

You sing to,

Sing,

Pray,

Dance,

For real.

Like the days that you don't want to hear music are the days that you need to put it on and keep it on and sing along and change your life.

Something is so simple as the beauty of music connects you to the beauty of what is beyond that song,

Beyond this world,

Beyond your problems.

Your problems dissolve in this beauty.

I sing and pray all day,

That's why I wake up excited,

Even when I'm sleepy.

I wake up like every day is Christmas,

Like every day is my wedding day,

Like every day is,

How would you feel if you knew Jesus was coming to visit you today,

To tell you this is what we're going to do,

Right?

How would you feel?

Would you be dragging yourself out of bed or would you be up singing and cleaning,

Having your smoothie?

You wouldn't need coffee,

You only need him,

You only need love,

And love will take care of everything.

It has taken care of everything and you'll see that it will.
