Welcome.

I am so glad you have arrived.

You are entering a space dedicated to the slow,

Sacred art of returning to yourself.

This is the first of our seven rituals,

A journey through the energy centers of your being,

Designed to invite a deep,

Rhythmic alignment to your own grace.

There is a profound fullness that lives in the bones,

A quiet resonance that speaks of your place within the architecture of the world.

Within you resides a steady,

Ancient strength,

A capacity to land fully and inhabit the temple of your body with absolute presence.

This is the medicine of the root,

The place where the soul meets the soil.

The root chakra is your foundation.

It is the part of you that understands the heavy,

Cool wisdom of the stone and the enduring patience of the mountains.

To tend to this center is to celebrate your inherent right to take up space.

It is a holy reclamation of your gravity.

As you bring your awareness here,

You are remembering that the earth is a living intelligence constantly rising to meet the soles of your feet.

Visualize yourself resting at the base of a vast,

Ancient redwood tree,

The rough,

Protective texture of the bark against your spine,

And the immense,

Quiet power of the trunk supporting your weight.

This tree is a silent witness to time,

Held by a subterranean network of belonging that runs miles deep and centuries wide.

As you sit here,

You are invited to share in its stillness.

You are made of the same stardust and clay as the world around you.

You have an inherent right to be heavy.

You have a right to belong to this moment exactly as you are,

Rooted in your own intrinsic worth.

Begin by exhaling every last drop of air,

Feeling the ribs knit together as you empty.

Now,

Take a slow,

4-count inhale,

Drawing the breath through the diaphragm and pulling it down into the very bowl of the pelvis.

2,

3,

4.

Hold for 2 counts,

Feeling the internal pressure against the base of your spine,

Right where you meet the redwood.

Now,

Exhale for 6-count,

A long,

Low sigh,

Feeling your seat sink deeper into the moss and soil.

Breathing in,

Breathing out,

Now,

Bring your entire focus to the very base of your spine,

The pelvic floor,

And the space between your sit bones.

This is your root.

As you breathe,

Feel a subtle,

Warm pulse at this exact point of contact.

Imagine a rich,

Ruby-red light glowing at the base of your tailbone.

With every inhale,

This light grows more vivid,

Filling the bowl of your hips with a sense of warmth and ancient safety.

With every exhale,

Feel this energy softening and spreading,

Reaching down to join the massive roots of the tree beneath you.

Gently engage the muscles of the pelvic floor for a moment,

A soft,

Intentional squeeze of the root.

And then,

With a long exhale,

Allow them to broaden and relax into the earth.

Feel the sensation of being completely held by the living structure of the world.

Notice the breath moving through the lower depths of your lungs.

As you inhale,

The breath travels down the spine like a slow-moving river,

Nourishing the soil of your root.

As you exhale,

Allow the floor and the earth itself to carry the force of your breath.

Feel the fullness of your weight.

Continue this breathing for a few moments.

Soften the hinge of your jaw.

Let the tongue drop away from the roof of the mouth.

Feel a sense of widening across your pelvis.

A softening of the belly.

You are landing.

With every breath,

Feel your root becoming more porous,

More heavy,

And more certain of its own gravity.

This is the somatic truth of your safety.

The earth is constant,

And your root is part of that constancy.

You are the tree.

You are the mountain.

You are home.

As you move back into the rhythm of your day,

Carry this weight as a grace.

Remember that you are anchored,

Held,

And deeply home.

Your belonging is a birthright.

Thank you for practicing with me today.

I look forward to our next ritual of return.
