Jeanette Ruiz

Jeanette’s journey with yoga began twenty-five years ago in college when she chose it as an elective. Until then, no one had ever encouraged her to slow down, breathe, or simply be still. That class was the turning point in her approach to well-being. Over the years, her practice ebbed and flowed. She often found her way back to the mat when she was injured, burned out, or disconnected: physically, mentally, or spiritually. Yet yoga was always there, patiently waiting to help her realign with herself. In 2012, Jeanette became a 200-hour certified instructor, teaching in studios, community centers, and offering private sessions. Sharing yoga brought her deep joy. But as life shifted and personal obligations took priority, she stepped away from teaching for a time. After navigating life and health challenges, Jeanette returned to yoga with a renewed sense of gratitude and awareness. Her practice evolved to become more nurturing and intuitive, emphasizing restorative and gentle yoga, Kundalini breathwork, and meditation. She deepened her studies with a Restorative Yoga certification through the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health. Off the mat, Jeanette finds pleasure in hosting a local crochet club, playing her ukulele, and spending quiet moments in meditation. Her classes reflect this same energy: grounded, heartfelt, and rooted in joy. For Jeanette, yoga is a lifelong companion, a bridge back to balance, and a reminder that healing begins with stillness.
