This practice offers a return to feminine rest — slow, receptive, and deeply nourishing. Guided through Yoga Nidra, you are invited to release effort, soften control, and rest in a quieter rhythm that honors the body’s natural cycles. The guidance fades into extended music, allowing rest to deepen gently and continue throughout the night.

Transcript

Find a position where your body can rest fully,

Without effort or adjustment.

Allow yourself to be supported as you are.

If it feels comfortable,

Let your eyes close and take a slow,

Gentle breath in.

Then release it softly.

There is nothing to prepare for.

This is a moment of returning to yourself.

Begin by noticing the weight of your body being received by the surface beneath you.

You are not holding yourself upright.

You are being carried.

The body remembers this kind of rest.

Even if it has been a long time,

Muscles soften naturally when they are no longer needed.

Bring your awareness gently through the body,

Sensing rather than observing.

The face softens.

The jaw loosens.

The shoulders release downward.

The arms grow heavy.

The chest and belly rise and fall in a slow,

Natural rhythm.

The hips,

Legs and feet settle deeply.

The body is allowed to yield.

Now imagine the night around you as ancient and feminine,

Wide and patient.

The air is warm and calm,

Moving gently around you like a soft current.

The space holds you without edges,

Without pressure,

Like a quiet shelter shaped by time itself.

Picture yourself resting beneath a low,

Steady moon.

Its light is pale and nurturing,

Illuminating without exposing.

It has watched over countless nights,

Countless bodies at rest.

The ground beneath you feels warm and receptive,

Receiving your weight without resistance,

As if it knows exactly how to hold you.

With each exhale,

Feel yourself melting further into this place.

The effort of doing,

Managing and staying alert can loosen.

You are no longer required to hold everything together.

The night carries what you release.

A place where cycles are honoured.

Where slowing down is natural.

Where sensitivity is wisdom.

Here,

You are allowed to soften without losing your strength.

You are allowed to rest without explanation.

Your breath becomes rounder,

Deeper,

Slower.

Your awareness can widen or fade.

You do not need to stay focused.

You can drift,

Trusting the ancient rhythm of rest that moves through the body when it is safe to let go.

The night continues to hold you.

The earth continues to receive you.

The moon remains steady above.

You are supported,

Contained and free to rest as sleep or deep stillness arrives in its own time.
