Hello and welcome to this Twelve step.
Step 11,
Nightly review,
Inspired,
Pray and regulate.
This also has a short guided yoga nidra inspired meditation within it for integration,
Reflection and rest.
So I'm going to open up with a prayer.
So feel free to get settled,
Get comfortable.
Maybe you're doing this before you get into bed.
Maybe you've decided to do this once you're in bed.
As always,
That is up to you,
That is your choice,
Your preference.
But take a moment,
Maybe take a breath.
Take a nice breath out.
And maybe just let these words wash over and through you.
So,
God.
.
.
As this day closes.
I turn my attention back to you.
I step out of effort and into your presence.
Thank you for carrying me through this day,
Through what I noticed and what I missed,
Through what felt aligned and what felt messy.
God,
I ask you to guide me now as I gently review this day,
Not with judgement,
Not with shame,
But with honesty,
Compassion and grace.
Show me where love flowed through me today.
Show me where fear,
Old habits,
Selfishness,
Resentment or dishonesty showed up.
Help me translate these words into what they looked like in my day.
Was it a tone I used?
A thought I held?
A choice I made?
Or maybe a need I ignored?
Where I caused harm,
Help me take responsibility.
Where I acted with integrity helped me receive that truth without minimizing it.
And where I see areas I could have acted differently,
Help me to notice them without self-condemnation.
So God,
Place this day into your hands.
Free me from what does not need to be earned.
Free me from what does not need to be carried into tomorrow.
Restore me as I rest in conscious contact with you.
And then I invite you to start tapping on the side of the hand.
Even though I'm reviewing my day.
And I'm noticing where I fell short.
I choose to stay connected to God.
And safe in my body.
Even though resentment,
Selfishness and dishonesty or fear appeared today.
I allow God to guide this review.
With compassion and truth.
Even though I could have done some things differently.
I open myself to God's grace,
Correction and peace.
Middle of the eyebrow.
This day is complete.
Side of eye.
I am allowed to notice it honestly.
And I,
I see where fear and selfishness showed up.
Undernose.
I recognize resentment and dishonesty in my thoughts or actions.
Chin.
I notice how these words showed up in everyday life.
Collarbone.
I am willing to take responsibility without shame.
Side of ribcage,
I noticed where I could have acted differently.
Top of head.
God is here to guide my understanding.
Middle of eyebrows.
I release self-condemnation.
Side of I.
I invite God to show me what matters most.
Under eye.
I am willing to repair or let go where needed.
From the nose.
I trust God to guide my next right action.
Chin.
I do not need to fix everything tonight.
Collarbone,
I place this day in God's care.
Side of ribcage.
I allow my nervous system to settle.
Of head.
I am ready to rest in awareness and presence.
Relax your hand,
Take a deep breath.
Maybe staying out.
Allow yourself to settle.
Just allow yourself to be still.
And take a moment just to really settle into the most comfortable position.
Can you allow your arms to rest wherever they feel supported?
And then let your eyes close gently.
In a moment to bring your attention to your breath.
There's no need to change it now,
Just notice the natural rhythm of you breathing in and of you breathing out.
Feel the weight of your body being held by whatever is beneath you.
Allow yourself to feel supported completely.
There is nothing else you need to do.
Let your awareness travel to the centre of your chest.
Really imagine that this space is softening.
This is where conscious contact with God lives.
Quietly setting an intention for this rest.
I am willing to see today.
Through God's eyes.
I am willing to see today.
Through God's eyes.
I am willing to see today.
Through God's eyes.
Now take a moment to allow your awareness to drift back over the day.
As if you're watching it from a gentle distance.
Maybe you could notice some moments of love,
Connection and courage showed up.
Can you feel these moments in your chest,
Your belly or your breath?
Can you let your body fully receive them?
Now didn't they bring awareness to moments where resentment,
Selfishness,
Dishonesty or fear appeared?
And you notice them without replaying or getting into the story.
Did I speak sharply or withdraw?
I think only of myself or ignore someone else's need.
That I avoid the truth or hide from it.
Did fear stop me from responding in love?
Keep your body tight and return to the breath.
Maybe place a hand on your body somewhere if needed.
Just know that you are safe.
Taking a moment to ask quietly,
What could I have done differently?
Allowing any insights to arise gently.
There's no rush to find an answer.
This is simply a reflection,
Not a self-judgment.
What could I have done differently?
What can I release so I do not carry it into tomorrow?
Maybe you could literally imagine placing it into God's hands.
So you don't need to hold it through the night.
Or can you literally feel like you're giving to God?
Allowing all awareness to soften again into your body.
Jaw be relaxed.
The shoulders drop.
On the belly of yourself.
Maybe taking a moment to thank God for the blessings you've received today.
And if you need to,
Asking for forgiveness.
And knowing that you've received it already.
Taking the next few moments just to rest in the simple awareness of being held by God.
So God,
Thank you for walking with me through this day.
Thank you for guiding my awareness with compassion.
I release what is complete.
I trust you with what remains.
And I allow rest to restore me now.
