Welcome,

Friend.

Take a moment to settle into a comfortable position,

Either seated or lying down.

Allow your eyes to close.

Let your hands rest softly,

Palms open.

Begin by noticing your breath.

No need to change it.

Simply feel it moving in and out.

Each inhale,

Drawing you into this moment.

Each exhale,

Softening everything that feels tight or uncertain.

Breathe in and breathe out.

Bring your awareness to the natural rhythm of your breath.

Let it slow down just a little.

Imagine that with each breath in,

You're drawing light and steadiness into your body.

With each breath out,

You're releasing tension,

The stories,

The doubts,

The expectations that are not yours to carry.

Now picture roots extending from the base of your spine,

Through your legs,

Through the soles of your feet.

These roots reach deep into the earth,

Warm,

Safe,

Steady.

Let the earth hold you.

As you breathe,

Imagine soft waves of light flowing through you,

Like the tide gently moving across the sand.

On your inhale,

The waves rise through your body,

From your feet,

To your legs,

To your hips,

To your heart.

On your exhale,

The waves flow back down,

Taking with them anything you're ready to release.

Notice your shoulders drop,

Your jaw unclenches,

The space between your eyebrows smooth.

Your whole body begins to remember what ease feels like.

Bring your awareness to your heart space,

Right at the center of your chest.

Visualize a soft,

Golden light glowing there.

With each breath,

That light grows a little brighter,

A little warmer,

And a little stronger.

That light expands through your chest,

Filling you with warmth and peace.

Now imagine this light gently whispering,

You can trust yourself.

You can trust your path.

Repeat those words silently or aloud.

I can trust myself.

I can trust my path.

Take another deep breath in,

Feeling the steadiness of the ground beneath you,

The strength of your heart within you,

And the spaciousness around you.

Now that this moment of calm is always available to you,

Within every inhale and exhale,

Allow your breath to flow naturally again.

Begin to wiggle your fingers and your toes.

If your eyes are closed,

Gently blink them open.

Trust as a practice,

One breath,

One choice,

One day at a time.

Carry this ease with you into whatever comes next.

You've already begun your return to trust.
