Arriving fully to awareness.
Find a comfortable seated position.
Rest your hands on your knees or in your lap.
Sit up tall with a relaxed but wakeful posture.
Close the eyes.
Begin to notice how you are aware.
You're feeling sensations,
You're hearing sounds,
You're noticing thoughts.
All of this within a field of awareness.
Think of your awareness like a light that's always shining.
Whatever comes into the light becomes known.
And much like light,
Your awareness shines on everything.
With equanimity,
Without picking or choosing,
Without holding on,
And without pushing away.
Rest in your awareness and become the still point of the turning world.
Relax your body completely and be completely open and receptive to whatever arises in this moment.
You can imagine yourself as a large empty house with open doors and windows.
Inside the house,
No one is home.
All that's in there is the light of awareness.
Things can enter the house,
Things can stick around,
And things can go.
There's nobody there to make a problem,
Nobody there to struggle or resist.
Just the light of awareness shining on everything.
See what it's like to let go of all judgments,
Worries,
Concerns,
And simply receive life as it is in this moment.
Nowhere to go,
Nothing to do.
Just life arising and passing away within the spacious awareness that you already are.
Feel the freedom and ease of just simply resting in awareness.
Slowly,
Let's bring our attention back to the body.
Take a nice deep breath in the nose and out the mouth.
Slowly beginning to move the fingers,
The toes.
And when you're ready,
Gently opening the eyes.
