Are you trying to do one more thing,
Well,
Two more things,
Before going to bed?
Do you feel like you are headed for a crash and burn?
If you answered yes,
If you are in danger of burning out,
Let me guess.
Self-care is probably the first thing out the window.
I know.
You have things to do,
People to take care of.
You have to get everything done.
But here's the thing.
You deserve care,
Too.
You deserve compassion and kindness.
It might feel self-indulgent for you to stop,
Take a breath,
Take a break,
Take a bath,
Do something,
Anything,
To care for your aching heart,
Body,
Or mind.
But you deserve compassion.
You deserve kindness.
You deserve love.
So stop.
Practice taking one breath.

Exhale.
Take another.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Now set an intention to practice taking care of yourself,
Somehow,
Every single day.
You deserve to settle yourself,
To love yourself,
To be in this moment.
You deserve to inhabit your beautiful body that is longing for your attention and care,
Your kindness and love.
Inhale.

Grow settled and spacious.
You don't have to do anything.
You are incredible.
You are precious.
