Welcome to this full moon meditation.
In today's practice we will channel and connect with the power of the moon,
Recognize what it symbolizes within us and what change we can bring forth in our system and in our lives.
So I invite you to begin now by simply connecting with your breath.
Deep inhales and deep exhales through the nose.
Just kind of letting the external world,
Letting everything fade away just for a second.
And recognizing your breath in this moment.
Recognizing the sensation of your body.
And recognizing how you feel right now.
Often the peak cycles of the moon can enhance our moods,
Enhance our sensations.
So this can be a real opportunity to just check in to see how we are.
Just allowing whatever is there,
Whatever mood and emotion,
Without having to define it,
But just feeling how you are on this kind of emotional and mood basis.
Just taking a couple of breaths of acceptance with that.
Feeling that with each moment you can just let go a little bit more to the rhythm of your breath and the authenticity of your being.
And from this place we're going to start to visualize a full moon.
Glowing bright against its dark backdrop.
Shining this all pervasive,
This white light into our dark forests,
Into our city windows,
Into wherever you might be.
And as I mentioned before,
The moon or the peak phases of the moon cycles can often give us an opportunity to enhance or look deeper into qualities of ourselves,
Into our intentions and into the shadow aspects of our personality.
So we're going to start now emphasizing this idea about the qualities we wish to cultivate within ourselves,
Our inner intentions.
And I'm just going to read out to you a list of qualities and I invite you to see how they reflect and how your body naturally responds to them.
Taking a deep breath in through the nose,
Out through the nose.
I wish to cultivate patience,
Endurance,
Strength,
Brightness,
Watchfulness.
Sensitivity.
Energy.
Passion.
Authenticity.
Grace.
So again,
Just imagine these are musical notes and they're almost touching you in different places.
And you just kind of let whatever needs to come through,
Come through.
Whatever's behind these words within you,
Come through.
We're going to go through them one more time.
I cultivate patience,
Endurance,
Strength,
Brightness,
Watchfulness,
Sensitivity,
Energy,
Passion,
Authenticity,
Grace.
Just letting all of that kind of reverberate and resonate within you.
And just becoming aware and going with that natural flow and course of energy that may develop in you in this moment.
And so on the other side of the coin,
The full moon,
The brightness of the full moon can also symbolically come to illuminate our shadow material.
If we can now kind of shine this light and become aware of those dysfunctional shadow aspect patterns that arise in our lives.
So just in the same way as I did before,
I'm going to read to you now another chain of words.
And what I invite you to do with this is to allow your perspective,
Allow the light of the moon to reveal what's behind these words for you.
Being authentic at all times and really just enabling your body to respond to this.
Deceitfulness.
Dread.
Anger.
Frustration.
Sorrow.
Helplessness.
Tightness and pain.
So just take a couple of breaths with that and see where this bright light of the moon guides you into looking.
It may be slightly uncomfortable,
Slightly painful to face whatever emerges,
But just kind of be with it,
Trust in the process,
Trust in this experience and the bright light of the moon.
And you can even imagine the bright light of the moon just kind of cascading onto these pains,
Letting whatever story needs to unfold,
Seeing whatever imagery arises in your imagination.
Taking a deep inhale through the nose.
Exhale through the nose.
We're going to go through them one more time.
Deceitfulness.
Dread.
Anger.
Frustration.
Sorrow.
Helplessness.
Tightness and pain.
And just notice how these emotions or what these words point towards kind of might build up in the body,
Might accumulate.
Tension in certain areas,
There might be sort of pain triggered.
You just allow yourself to kind of breathe it through,
Visualizing once again the bright light of the moon,
Overseeing and guiding this healing process.
And this being the moment where you really reach deep into your power,
You really reach deep into the energy forces that lay deep within you,
That are inspired out of you from the moon.
And you just face the shadow material with lightness,
Acceptance and grace.
And just using your time to breathe.
And allowing the dust to settle.
And once again just visualizing this full moon.
Feeling your awareness to your heart.
Feeling how you may be able to relate,
Communicate and connect with this power of the moon from your heart.
Letting go of all logic now.
Just coming into your nature.
Rejuvenating yourself with breath.
Recharging yourself with this powerful source of energy that is the moon and what it represents and stimulates within us.
And just taking a moment to honor it.
Thank you moon.
Thank you the bright light of self.
