Welcome to our practice today.
It is called,
What is the story that you tell yourself?
And I believe that we all have a story that we can tend with.
And everything in our life keeps coming back to teach us the story,
To allow us to let go of the story that we keep telling ourselves.
An example of these stories that I feel are quite familiar are,
Am I lovable?
Am I good enough?
Am I doing enough?
Am I worthy?
Am I beautiful?
So we tend to criticise ourselves,
To doubt ourselves.
And then life brings us,
These in front of us through experiences.
And the invitation here is to wake up and to be present to the story that we tell ourselves.
And whatever your story is,
I believe that it doesn't allow you to fully enjoy your life.
And an example would be,
Even if you are doing something and you've done it right,
And it's beautiful,
At some point this idea of,
Am I doing enough?
Or am I good enough?
Or whatever story you're telling yourself will come up.
And you move from being happy or proud of yourself to feeling sad or to doubting yourself.
And this guided meditation today is an invitation to bring you in this peace and to see what story you are telling yourself and to see through it,
To see through our doubts and to come to always trust ourselves more,
To trust our heart and to move away from self-doubt,
From inner criticism,
And to follow your own truth.
And I invite you to take some time to feel into the story that you tell yourself.
And maybe you can write it down.
And then when you are ready,
I invite you to find a comfortable position.
You can lie down,
You can sit,
Whatever works for you.
And allow your attention to turn inward,
Allowing your eyes to close if you are comfortable with it.
If not,
You can lower your gaze.
Just bringing the awareness to your inner world.
Letting go of the outside world and coming to rest within the space of your body.
And taking a moment to rest here.
Feeling the breath.
Your breath is a lifelong friend.
A friend that has been with you for a lifetime.
And how does your body feel here,
Sitting or lying down?
And feeling the rise and fall of your belly,
Your chest.
And allowing your awareness to go into spaces in your body that might feel tighter or rigid.
And allowing and inviting your body to soften into this moment,
To let go of any rigidity as much as is possible for you today.
And if your mind wanders,
That's simply okay.
Gently and kindly returning back to the breath.
Bringing your awareness back to the breath with love and compassion.
And every time we bring the awareness back to our body,
We're coming home.
We celebrate our coming home to the body.
One breath at a time.
One breath at a time.
Softening here in your body.
Feeling the earth supporting you.
You are safe.
You are safe to see clearly,
To see clearly through any stories that you tell yourself.
And I invite you to imagine or visualize yourself in a cave.
A cave at the very heart of the earth.
It is a crystal cave.
You are surrounded by crystals.
And as you gaze around,
Observe the colors of the crystals that are present within your cave.
You are invited here to know yourself better.
And as you are here within this crystal cave,
I invite you to connect and trying to feel as much as possible this deep longing within you to be free.
This is a sincere longing to be free to move beyond the stories that we tell ourselves.
And gently taking your breath into your heart center.
Breathing into your heart.
And invite the heart to soften.
And it softens when you feel how much you've been through in your life.
And you feel compassion for yourself.
This deep love that is within you.
Loving you.
And inviting you to see clearly.
And as you are here within this cave.
Tuning into your heart.
Feeling your breath supported by the earth.
I invite you to call upon the space within you.
A space of deep inner knowing.
Your higher self.
This inner wisdom.
This compassion towards yourself.
And ask your higher self this question of how does it experience this conditioning,
The story that you tell yourself.
Why are you judging yourself?
And staying here.
Witness yourself with eyes of compassion.
And see if there is a message for you here.
And do not judge your message.
Yourself.
Be compassionate.
And see through this story.
See clearly beyond the story that you tell yourself.
Breathe in awareness.
And also feel into what would you love to remember the next time you get caught up in the story.
And maybe you can take some time into feeling.
What will you remember when you are caught up in the story because the story will keep coming back.
But each time it comes back you will see clearly you will be stronger.
You will be more present in the moment.
More connected to the earth.
More aligned within yourself.
And you will always see clear.
What would you love to remember.
And then taking a deep breath here.
Gazing within this piece of your heart.
And feel rays of light emitted from this crystal cave.
Carishing your body.
Loving each and every area of your body.
Each and every part.
And particularly loving our courage,
Our strength for being here.
For being strong enough to be here to see our truth to come closer to our own truth.
It takes strength and courage to be here.
And you are being filled with this life.
The light reminding you what you are made of.
The light reminding you to step closer to your heart.
And to live more from the heart and to live less from the mind.
And very slowly wiggle your toes and wiggle your fingers.
And in your own time allowing your eyes to open up.
Thank you for being here.
Practicing with me.
I honour you.
I honour your courage.
Namaste.
