Hi,

My name is Corey Reese.

Thank you so much for joining me today.

I know we don't know each other,

But in many ways,

We're a lot alike.

I often struggle with sleep,

And I know how discouraging it can be when sleep feels elusive.

That's why I feel so passionate about creating music that acts as a calm space to allow us to settle into sleep.

And this is actually a really important piece to remember.

We don't want to try to force rest,

But instead,

To allow it.

Music is a powerful way to help our nervous system feel safe so that we can shift out of fight or flight mode and into calm relaxation.

And by using this music to go to sleep every night,

You're training your brain to recognize that the music is your signal to your body that it's okay to let go and fall asleep.

You've done enough today.

Now,

You can let the music take you to a peaceful place where you can rest,

Relax,

And wake up feeling recharged.

So even though I'm just a random internet stranger,

I want you to know I'm here for you.

I'll be here holding space for you tonight.

Let's start by taking a few deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Let's take a deep breath in and out through the mouth.

Let's do that one more time.

In through the nose and out through the mouth.

Good.

Now,

The final thing we're going to do before we settle off into sleep is a body scan.

And I want you to notice a warm,

Glowing light moving through your body and whatever this light touches will soften and relax those muscles and release any tension you've been holding.

Let's start with the toes.

Notice that warm,

Glowing light shining on your toes,

Moving up to your feet,

And you can feel your feet soften and relax.

And notice that light moving up to your calves,

Your upper legs,

And just feel them soften.

Now,

Notice that light slowly moving upward to your stomach.

The stomach is a really common place to hold tightness and tension,

So spend a little bit of extra time there,

Letting that light melt away any tension from the day.

Now,

Let's let that light move up into your heart space.

And we're going to let that light spend a little bit of extra time here.

Just feel it kind of glowing and radiating from your chest and filling you with a really comforting sense of peace.

Start to notice that light shining on your fingertips and moving up your fingers to your palms,

And then continuing slowly up your arms all the way to your shoulders.

This is another area where we want to let the light spend a little more time because shoulders are another one of those places where we tend to hold some of that tension from the day,

So take that time to let the light soften all of that and let it go for the day.

Now,

The light is moving up to your neck and your jaw,

And now it's shining on your face and your forehead.

Now,

I want you to notice that light radiating out of the crown of your head.

And now,

Let's do another body scan.

Just see what you notice with your body.

Notice your muscles feeling more relaxed.

Notice your body feeling more settled and ready for sleep.

And now,

You can allow the music to be that calm,

Safe space that will allow you to settle into peaceful,

Rejuvenating rest.
