This recording is a ritual for honoring our ancestors from the Corviday Circle Wiccan tradition.
It may be performed at the Sabbath of Samhain or at any time of your choosing.
This ritual is meant to serve as a guide for those wishing to pay tribute to their departed loved ones.
You are invited and encouraged to make any modifications you wish so that it will align with your personal practice.
For this ritual,
You will need the following,
A table,
A candle,
A glass or goblet filled with the drink of your choice.
If you wish,
You may have photographs of your ancestors or their names written on a piece of paper on the table.
Begin by placing the unlit candle on the table.
Blessed be the element of air,
Provider of the breath of life.
Blessed be the element of fire,
Eternal source of inspiration and might.
Blessed be the element of water,
The constant flow of energy.
Blessed be the element of earth,
Strong support for all forms of life.
Blessed be the element of spirit,
Our connection to the universe and all living things.
We give thanks to spirit.
You are the bridge between the physical and the celestial realms.
I call out now through the astral plane,
A spiritual reflection of the physical world wherein lies the realms of guides,
Guardians and ancestors.
I call out now to my ancestors who have gone before me.
You may call them by name here if you wish.
Join with me in this ritual of remembrance I hold in your honor.
May we all be gathered together in this sacred space in perfect love and perfect trust.

The candle is lit.
To my ancestors and my beloved kin who have departed from this realm,
Here do I light this candle in your honor as a sign of my unending love for you.
Blessed be the memory of you who now live on in my heart and mind.

The goblet is placed upon the table.
To my ancestors and my beloved kin who have departed from this realm,
Here do I offer this drink in your honor as a sign of my unending love for you.
Blessed be the memory of you who now live on in my heart and mind.
So mode it be.
Through the darkness,
Sing to me.
Your love and light now bring to me.
With love in my heart and intentions true,
My beloved kin,
I give thanks for you.
May you who have gone before me always walk beside me.
May you who have gone before me always live within me.
Although I can no longer see you in earthly form,
I thank you for continuing to make your presence known to me.
I hear your voice inside the wind.
I see your smile in the light of the sun.
I sense your assurance under the glow of moonlight.
From another realm and through mediums new,
You continue to cheer me when I stand tall,
Lift me when I stumble.
You continue to teach me,
Stepping aside temporarily,
Only when you see that my own strength is enough.
You have never forgotten me,
And I will never forget you.
At this point,
You may choose to stand or sit in meditative silence to commune with your ancestors until the candle burns out or whenever you are ready to conclude the ritual.
Blessed be the elements of earth,
Air,
Fire,
Water,
And spirit.
Blessed be the Lord God and the Lady Goddess.
Blessed be my beloved ancestors.
By the mingling of our paths,
You have taught me tradition,
Community,
And connection.
I am thankful for your gifts and teachings,
And I realize that my actions now will one day become teachings and gifts to those yet to come.
May there be peace between us now and forever.
I cast this circle out into the cosmos as a sign of my magic.
The circle is open but unbroken.

Pour the liquid from the goblet out upon the earth as a libation and go about the remainder of your day or evening in peace.
