Future Visioning the Meadow.
Let's start by closing our eyes and taking a deep breath,
Filling our lungs with air.
Now slowly let it out.
Now take another deep breath,
And slowly let it go.
Relax your shoulders,
Allowing them to droop downward.
Relax your body,
And let it sink into your chair.
Feel the heaviness in your feet as they are planted firmly on the floor,
Connecting you to the energy of the earth.
As you continue to breathe in a natural and relaxed way,
Notice the flow of energy in your body.
You may feel your hands growing warm and tingly.
Now imagine you are walking along a trail in a forest.
The sides of the trail are lined with tall trees.
It's a warm,
Sunny day,
But it's cool in the shade of the trees.
You breathe in the fresh,
Cool air.
You hear the sound of a bird in the distance.
You catch a glimpse of a chipmunk with a striped back,
Scurrying along the ground as it searches for food.
A bushy-tailed squirrel scampers up the trunk of a nearby tree.
As you continue walking along the trail,
You notice a clearing in the trees up ahead.
As you come closer,
You see a beautiful meadow off the side of the trail.
At the far end of the meadow,
You see two deer grazing,
A doe and her fawn.
You stop and watch the deer.
They finish their grazing and wander off into the trees.
Now you decide to take a walk in the meadow.
As you step out of the shade of the trees,
The sun warms your face and the top of your head.
You feel so relaxed that you decide to sit down in the soft grass and gaze at the wildflowers that are scattered in patches throughout the meadow.
The wildflowers are delicate and beautiful,
With many different colors.
A butterfly lands on a nearby flower,
And you watch it sipping the nectar.
You take a deep breath and smile with contentment.
As you are relaxing,
You see someone coming across the meadow towards you.
They're walking slowly and with steady confidence.
It appears to be someone who is joyful,
Peaceful,
And comfortable with themselves.
As this person comes closer,
You start making out their features,
And it slowly dawns on you that the person you're looking at is your future self.
You are excited to meet your future self.
Your future self walks up to you,
And you both put out your arms to greet each other with a hug.
You tell your future self how happy you are to meet them,
And you thank them for meeting you here in the meadow on this beautiful day.
You feel inspired and encouraged to see your future self and all that they have accomplished and become.
Now this is your opportunity to talk with your future self.
Take some time to ask your future self any questions that are on your mind,
And listen for the answers.

If it feels appropriate,
You may ask your future self for a symbolic gift.
What would that gift be?
Receive the gift and thank your future self.
As you and your future self are hugging,
Feel them merging into you.
You and your future self are one.
You realize that you have all the resources inside of you to accomplish your goals,
And you are filled with joy and gratitude.
Take a moment to bask in this glorious feeling.
Now it's time to leave the meadow and walk home along the forest trail.
As I count from five to one,
You will slowly come back.
Five four three two one When you are ready,
Slowly open your eyes.
Stretch and come back to the present moment.
