A guided imagery meditation to start your day feeling centered, grounded, and vibrant. Best to be seated with feet on the ground but please sit/stand in the most comfortable posture for you. Suggestion to write down significant images at the end of meditation - have your journal handy.

Welcome to Good Morning Sunshine.

Get into a comfortable seated position,

Ideally one where your feet are flat on the floor.

Adjust to get a little more comfortable.

And gently close your eyes or soften your focus.

Notice where you are sitting.

Feel your body being supported.

Feel your feet on the floor and sense the earth beneath the floor supporting you.

Become aware of sounds in the room and outside of the room you are in.

And let any sound that you hear from now on fade into the background as if you turned the volume down.

Notice your thoughts about today,

To-do lists,

Chores,

Activities,

People you are planning to see.

Let those thoughts also fade into the background,

Turning the volume down on these thoughts to make more room for this present moment.

Now turn your attention to your breath.

Notice your breath in your body.

Focus on one spot,

Like the rise and fall of your belly or chest.

Or maybe focus on the flow of breath through your nose.

Inhale,

Notice breath and body.

Exhale,

Notice breath and body.

Aware of your breath not needing to change,

Just simply notice.

Aware of your inhale.

Aware of your exhale.

Keeping your attention gently focused on the area of your body where you easily sense your breath.

Noticing inhalation.

Noticing exhalation.

Let your next inhalation carry your attention all the way down to your feet.

And on the next exhalation,

Imagine your connection to the earth as roots flowing down from the bottom of your feet past the floor into the ground.

This is your connection to the earth.

Imagine your roots.

They can be plant or tree-like.

Or maybe they are more energetic in nature.

They can be thin or thick.

One color or multicolored.

Be smooth or rough in texture.

Do you notice any sensations in the bottom of your feet like warmth or tingling?

Imagine the roots flowing or tunneling deep into the earth.

Imagine a place where your roots connect into or are flowing through such as the base of a mountain,

Green meadow,

Bottom of the ocean,

Or an image that might be the center of the earth.

Take a moment with this image.

The colors,

Textures,

Sensations.

Notice where in your body you sense this image.

Your feet,

Heart center,

Belly.

What does it feel like in your mind,

Body,

And emotions?

This image and sensation will be available to you whenever you need it to feel grounded,

Strong,

Centered,

And supported.

Now imagine a light traveling up your roots into the bottom of your feet.

This light is bright and vibrant.

It can be any color or colors you wish.

You can imagine a sunrise and all the different colors involved in the beautiful awakening of the day starting at the bottom of your feet.

Feel a sense of ease as this vibrant light fills up your feet and flows into your ankles,

Lower legs,

Knees.

Take an inhalation and as you exhale,

Imagine the light flowing up into your thighs,

Lighting up every cell in space.

Breathe into your connection to the earth and as you exhale,

Notice the light filling your hips,

Glutes,

And pelvis.

Take a deeper inhalation of this vibrant light into your belly.

Hold for a moment and as you exhale,

Imagine the light filling up all the space in and around your vital organs.

Inhale vibrancy to your heart center.

As you exhale,

Imagine the light filling up your chest from front to back.

Breathe light into your shoulders.

As you exhale,

The light flows down your arms,

Filling your upper arms,

Elbows,

Forearms,

Wrists,

And hands to the tips of your fingers.

Imagine your hands filled with vibrant light.

Do you notice any sensations?

On your next inhale,

Imagine the light flowing up through your throat and neck.

As you exhale,

The light continues into your head.

Inhale vibrancy into your eyes and face.

As you exhale,

Imagine the light flowing to the top of your head.

Feel and see yourself as a three-dimensional being filled with light.

Breathe in ease.

Breathe out vibrancy.

Inhale ease.

Exhale vibrancy.

This energy is from your grounded place,

The place you are connected to in Earth.

It fills you up completely.

You can imagine this light shining through your skin,

Giving you a luminescent glow and even lighting up your hair.

You can turn up the brightness and imagine this light emanating out from you a couple of inches or more.

You can stretch your arms out to your sides in front of you and above you if you want to imagine this light as your personal bubble.

Take a moment to enjoy this image of yourself filled with your light,

Feeling vibrant and sparkling with ease.

What are you noticing now?

What is the color or colors,

Intensity or brightness of light,

Any sensations,

Emotions?

I invite you to take a snapshot of what is standing out to you so that you can return to this moment of vibrancy anytime during the day.

In a moment,

We will end this session.

Give thanks to your images,

Your connection to the Earth and light and yourself.

On your next breath,

Feel your feet on the floor,

The chair beneath you.

Notice the air in the room on your skin and any sounds.

Gently wiggle your fingers and toes.

When you feel ready,

On your next breath,

Gently open your eyes.
