Hi.

This session is exploring the power of flexibility and creativity.

This is an imagery session,

Which means all you need to do is get comfortable and close your eyes,

And I will lead you through a guided meditation.

There'll be a relaxation portion,

And then I will ask you to imagine some things,

And it will be pretty short,

Probably even relaxation and imagination.

So get ready.

So starting,

Sit in a comfortable seated position,

And you can move at any time during this session to get more comfortable,

And gently close your eyes or soften your focus,

And remembering that you can open your eyes at any time you need to.

Notice everywhere your body is supported.

Relaxing into the support,

Feel secure and grounded.

Now turn your attention to your thoughts.

Notice them drift by like clouds in the sky,

Making room in your mind for this present moment.

Become aware of your breath.

On your next inhale,

Silently say the word clarity,

And on your next exhale,

Silently say the word peace.

Inhale clarity,

Exhale peace.

Inhale clarity,

Exhale peace.

On your next inhale,

Breathe in clarity to your mind.

Exhaling,

Feeling peacefulness flow from the top of your head,

Scalp,

Forehead.

Peacefulness around your eyes,

Jaw,

Face,

Head.

Continuing to inhale clarity,

Exhale peace,

And feel relaxation flow over your shoulders,

Back,

Arms,

And hands.

Breathe clarity into your heart center,

And feel the peacefulness that resides there.

Inhale clarity,

Exhale peace.

Feel relaxation in your chest,

Belly,

Hips.

Feel relaxation flowing down your legs,

Feet,

Soles of the feet relaxing.

Breathe in clarity,

Breathe out peace.

Feel your whole body clear,

Whole body peaceful,

Whole being clear,

Whole being peaceful.

Now imagine that you are walking on a road toward a city that has a central square with a treasure chest in the middle.

Notice what the road looks like,

Time of day it is.

It's your image,

So please make it as fun,

Creative as you would like.

Imagining you're walking on this road toward a city that has a central square,

And in the middle of the central square is a treasure chest.

And this treasure chest symbolizes an important goal in your life.

You don't have to decide what that goal is right now.

Just imagine this beautiful treasure chest.

At the edge of the city is a high guarded wall,

And where the road enters,

There is a huge solid gate.

Using whatever comes to mind in your imagination,

Get into the city and reach your treasure.

So how are you going to reach your treasure when there is a high guarded wall and a huge solid gate?

In your imagination,

Anything is possible.

So whatever comes to mind,

Get into the city and reach your treasure.

When you've done that,

If you're with your treasure right now,

And you're enjoying it,

Because maybe it's full of jewels,

I know it's symbolizing a goal you have,

But right now it could just be fun and filled with jewelry or monies or cupcakes,

Whatever you want as the treasure.

So once you're with your treasure,

You're going to leave your treasure there and be back on that road walking toward the city.

So you're on the outside of the gate again,

The huge solid gate.

You're at the edge of the city with the guarded wall.

And how are you going to get back into that city in a different way?

So not using the same way,

But a totally different way.

How do you get to your treasure?

Do this.

Okay,

The second time.

So you found your treasure again.

Every time you find your treasure,

Go back to that solid gate and those guarded walls and do it again.

Do that about three more times.

Change your method for entering each time.

Notice how it feels.

How it feels to be with your treasure,

How it feels to be on the other side of the gate away from your treasure.

Maybe how it feels to be told you have to do it again in a different way.

What comes to mind?

Is it fun?

Is it irritating?

Is it scary?

Any emotion is fine here.

So just greet that emotion as well.

And just know like I am creative and resourceful.

I could do this again another way.

Ask your imagination for help.

Your imagination is endless with possibilities and limitless.

So if you need to invent something to get over that gate or through that wall,

If you need to invite friends or animal friends,

Or guides,

You can do that as well.

I think you've done this four times by now.

So do it two more times.

We're going to do six times total.

Just when you think you can't do this again,

Do it one more time,

Right?

And each time you can add more treasure,

Make it more fun.

With this exercise,

You're using your imagination,

Training yourself for greater flexibility in reaching your goals or solving problems,

Giving yourself some time and space to just think of anything to make the possibilities big and fun and creative.

Okay,

So you might be done with that.

So thank your treasure.

Thank your image and slowly let that image fade away,

Knowing that you can keep with you whatever was most helpful and valuable.

And you can carry that back in to your life with you.

Just like if you carry a glass of water from one room to the next.

Notice the chair beneath you,

The support beneath you.

You can begin to wiggle your fingers and toes and deepen your breath.

And when you're ready,

Open your eyes.
