Welcome to this meditation.
Today we're going to get in touch with our feelings and our mood.
We will also think music in your mind to help us connect with these feelings.
My name is Jenna and I'll be guiding you through this meditation today.
First,
Start to get comfortable.
Sit up or lay down to relax.
Close your eyes and get ready to listen.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Notice if there are lots of thoughts that cross your mind.
Pay attention to your mood.
Feel free to put a hand on your heart.
Feel it beat,
Fast or slow.
Now is a good time to get in tune with music that comes to you.
Notice any tension or relaxation in your body.
What is more noticeable to you?
The feelings related to the music or feelings that come to your body?
Maybe you're feeling a sadness,
Wanting to hear instrumental music.
What do you feel through the music or instruments?
Now let's focus on how this music makes your body feel.
Is there any tension in your face?
Eyebrows?
Your jaw?
Going down to the neck,
Noticing if there's any tension there.
Listen to the music.
See if this changes anything.
Going down the shoulders and the arms.
Feel your heart again.
Is anything different?
Notice your breathing,
If it's through the chest or through the stomach.
Slowly scan through any part of the body that you may notice.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
How is your body feeling?
Is any of that music coming to your mind?
Pause partway through as you listen or think and connect to your body and your mind.
