To have a conversation with God requires an ability to listen as well as to speak. It is similar to how we require to be accurately tuned into the transmitting frequency on the radio in order to hear clearly what is being broadcast. Assisted by these 11 meditation commentaries, Raja Yogi Yogesh Sharda introduces us to the experiences we can hope to claim for ourselves by being able to accurately ‘tune in’ to that most divine and benevolent personality whom we may call God.

I choose to start each day and also end each day by sitting quietly and reflecting in my relationship with you,

The One Supreme.

I choose to converse with you because I know that what I receive from you is completely true,

Pure and selfless.

When I open myself,

Open the heart and converse with you with sincerity and with purity of motive,

I know that you will respond.

And since you are the only being who is truly altruistic,

I know that your response is the cleanest possible,

For you are the mirror in which I can truly discover myself.

Living in relationship with you reveals me to myself.

It enables me to see my own strengths,

To see my own value,

To recognize the hidden qualities which maybe even I don't realize,

And you encourage me in your silent manner to expand upon,

To express and to share these hidden abilities with others.

It is also the case that as I come closer to the mirror,

I can see the dark spots within my soul,

Those blind spots which perhaps I got so used to ignoring that I don't even realize they exist.

I have perhaps chosen to put them to one side as though they were never there,

But yet looking into the mirror,

I become aware of these areas where I need to pay attention.

And when you're in your gentle nature,

In your very kind and respectful manner,

You make visible to me those areas of myself where I need to take care,

I need to pay attention,

Since you,

The supreme,

You are so clean,

So divine and pure,

Any message I get from you the mirror,

I take to my heart and I understand that this is for my own benefit,

This will set me free.

And so I choose to come closer and closer in relationship with you,

And in return you promise to give me back to myself,

To give me the divine me,

The pure me,

The original me back to myself.

Your motive is completely pure,

And this is what allows me and encourages me to reveal myself completely in front of you.

To look in you,

The mirror,

Is the act of honesty and courage which leads me to true freedom from my past and reminds me of my original beauty.
