Let's begin our day with a little bit of happy talk and meditation in this short yet impactful podcast designed to infuse a little bit of positivity into each moment of every day.
Let's get in the flow.
We're going to talk about one of my favorite,
Favorite topics today.
Today we're going to talk about the law of attraction and exactly what it is.
There are so,
So many misconceptions about the laws of the universe,
Actually,
All of them,
But the law of attraction can actually change your life.
That's why I love talking about it so much.
There are a whole bunch of laws of the universe.
But the law of attraction is special.
It's special because it deals with the energy or the vibration that we are as human beings.
And why that is so special is because we control it.
The name of the game of the law of attraction is like attracts like.
Yes,
This is all about the movie The Secret.
My life came alive.
My life came alive.
I came alive when I saw that movie.
And it was years and years and years ago.
Yes,
I'm dating myself.
The law of attraction is like attracts like.
If you vibrate from a high emotion on that scale,
Love,
Joy,
Bliss,
Happiness,
Just general happiness,
If you operate your life from that place,
Then that's what you attract.
You attract love and bliss into your life.
So you attract those situations and those people.
However,
If you operate your life from a place of sadness or fear,
Because you know how I feel about fear.
Fear is like the lowest place on the totem pole,
So to speak.
So if you operate from that place,
Then that's what you attract too.
You would attract more sad situations,
More,
You know,
That sort of thing.
So dealing with all of this and staying in that high vibration,
It's up to us.
Now it sounds easy.
I get that.
It sounds like,
Oh,
Because the concept is simple,
But keeping yourself there is the challenging part.
It takes work.
It takes work.
And you know,
Cause some of these movies and people,
A lot of these people make it sound like it's this easy thing.
And the concept is easy,
But it's not sometimes so easy to keep yourself at that high vibrational place.
Right?
It's challenging.
So you have to monitor your thoughts,
Right?
So you monitor your thoughts and what you have to do is you have to catch yourself when you are at that place of,
You know,
Any of the lower vibrational things like fear or sadness or despair or anxiety.
And we all have those thoughts,
Right?
We all have really happy thoughts and we all have really sad thoughts.
That's just like,
That's human nature and that's okay.
It's okay to do that.
But the trick to learning how to use the law of attraction to your benefit is learning how to catch those thoughts and turning them into happy thoughts.
You know,
Even me who seems happy all the time,
And I am like,
You know,
This,
You get me,
This is me,
Right?
Even me who has those thoughts,
Yeah,
I have negative thoughts.
I have sad thoughts occasionally.
I have low self-esteem thoughts sometimes.
We all do.
But because I've been doing this work for a long time,
I've been doing this work for,
Since before the movie The Secret came out,
I think it was like 2006,
Something like that.
I've been working on myself since,
You know,
Even before that,
You know,
Doing,
I do like,
I love doing those self-help seminars and all that kind of stuff.
That's just who I am.
I love that,
Right?
But I've learned how to catch myself in those negative thoughts.
And you will be too.
You will be good at it if you can practice.
The trick is to catch the sad thoughts when they happen and turn them back around to say something positive,
Right?
So an example of that would be like,
And they're even dumb thoughts like,
Oh man,
It rained.
I can't go hiking.
So that would be like a negative thought,
Right?
So to turn that around,
You could say to yourself,
Like when you catch yourself,
Right?
And again,
This takes practice,
Right?
So you catch yourself and you say,
It rained.
And then you say,
You know what,
However,
The plants got watered.
We desperately need water out here,
You know,
Where I live in Los Angeles,
We desperately need water.
Turning that around.
You know what?
Maybe today,
Instead of hiking,
Maybe today I'll like sit and I'll catch up on that Netflix show that I am dying to continue watching.
Or I'll write or I'll meditate.
Whatever,
Instead of hiking or whatever it is that you're going to do,
Right?
The trick,
Like I say,
Is to turn the thoughts around.
Can you do it?
Now,
Learning how to do this can take time.
It took me a while,
Right?
But you have to decide,
Is this,
Do I really want this?
Or is this something that I'll try for a couple of days?
And there's no wrong answer.
You get to live your life however you choose.
There's no wrong answer.
And that's the cool part.
It's all up to you,
You know?
But here's the question.
Do you want to sort of make that change?
I don't know.
For me,
It was intriguing.
And that was my whole thing,
You know?
Now,
I will say that all of this work,
This mental work that I talk about,
Changing your thoughts,
All of that stuff,
It should never take the place of therapy,
Medication,
Doctors,
Stuff like that.
It should all be done in conjunction with.
That's like a huge part of it,
You know?
Because there are a lot of people who are clinically depressed.
So you can start this work.
That's great.
But don't stop doing what you're doing.
That sort of thing.
So,
But,
So here's my thought for today.
Let's start off,
Okay?
Let's create a mantra for our meditation today.
We're going to create our own personal mantra for today.
Okay?
Now,
Here's the thing.
I love being creative about my mantras and stuff,
Right?
But here's the thing.
Decide what you want more of in your life,
Just for today,
One day,
Okay?
So you don't have to do this.
It doesn't have to be a big,
Long,
Like 90-day situation for this,
Right?
For our 20-minute meditation,
Right?
What do you want more of?
Do you want happiness?
Do you want self-confidence?
Do you want peace?
What is it that you want for today?
Do you want satisfaction,
Fulfillment,
Joy?
That's the fun part.
You get to choose,
Right?
You get to choose.
Okay.
And so then what our mantra will be,
Today I find,
Whatever the word is,
For me it's happiness because that's kind of how I roll.
Today I find happiness in every moment.
Or today I find peace in every moment.
Or awesome,
Another fun one is,
Today I find satisfaction in every moment.
Seriously,
Can you imagine taking your day and finding satisfaction in every moment?
How cool is that?
Right?
So I love this.
Can you tell?
Of course I've had some coffee,
So I'm like rolling on this.
I'm like loving this,
Right?
This is one of,
Truly like I said,
It's one of my favorite topics to talk about.
So okay,
Let's get ourselves comfortable because we're going to take our newly found mantra,
Affirmation,
Whatever you want to call it,
For the day and we're going to make it our own.
We're going to meditate on it.
So let's close your eyes,
Get yourself comfy,
Take a nice deep breath in,
Inviting in positivity.
So take a deep breath in and release.
Perfect.

What are you grateful for today?
I am grateful.
I'm truly grateful that it rained.
Truly grateful.
And I'm grateful that the weather is cooling off.
And I'm grateful for our time together.

So now as we sit in the stillness,
We will take our new mantra that we've just created for ourselves.
Today I find blank in every moment.
So for me,
It's happiness.
Actually,
You know what?
I take that back.
I like satisfaction.
Today I find satisfaction in every moment.
