Welcome to the Spirit Rooms podcast,

In the Flow with Laurie Albert,

Where we discuss tapping into our spiritual gifts,

Meditation,

And basically all aspects of spirituality.

Welcome in.

Hello,

And welcome into In the Flow with Laurie Albert.

So in all of these talks that I've been doing these last several times on the chakras,

I have been realizing something.

I love talking about the chakras.

I mean,

Are you really surprised?

But you know,

Today we are talking about the heart chakra.

And this is what I love about this.

You know,

One would assume,

Okay,

That this particular chakra is just all about love,

Which it's about,

You know,

But there is truly so,

So much more to this as well.

So the anahata or the fourth chakra,

The heart chakra is definitely about love.

Okay,

That,

You know,

Self love,

Love of others,

Love of the world,

The unconditionality.

I don't even know if that's a word,

But I'm making it up and it makes sense to me.

The unconditionality of the heart chakra of love.

And that is a pretty big subject in itself,

Obviously.

But there are a few aspects to the heart chakra that I really wanted to point out and mention today.

So firstly,

In addition to love,

This chakra,

The heart chakra is about gratitude and forgiveness and compassion and empathy.

Oh,

Isn't that beautiful?

And here's another aspect to this.

This chakra actually sort of regulates our sense of trust,

Peace,

Our relationships,

And fearlessness.

Pretty amazing,

Right?

This is a big chakra.

I mean,

Seriously.

So,

But what I want to say about this is this.

Think about it.

All of these emotions and more,

Of course,

Are related kind of to love.

And they're ruled by this chakra.

And that is freaking huge.

I mean,

This is like,

Our heart chakra is like who we are basically.

Okay,

So fascinating.

Okay,

So another really,

Really interesting thing about the fourth chakra is that this chakra is the middle chakra between the three lower chakras and the three upper chakras.

It's like a connection.

It's the connector between the three chakras that relate to the body and the earth,

Right,

Like the root chakra,

And the sacral chakra,

And the solar plexus,

And the three chakras that relate to our relationship with spirit.

Our throat chakra,

Our third eye,

And the crown.

And it gets even better.

Check this out.

I love this.

I love this.

You guys are gonna laugh when you hear me say this,

This chakra color is green.

Okay,

And what two colors make up green?

Okay,

Yellow,

Which is the solar plexus on the one side,

And blue,

Which is the throat chakra on the other side.

I mean,

Think about the synchronicities to this.

I mean,

It is truly just so cool.

This is what I'm saying.

This like invigorates me talking about all this.

So okay,

What I want to say about balancing this chakra,

Okay,

It's actually I think balancing this particular chakra is,

It can be a little bit,

You know,

Difficult.

So it's kind of like,

The best example I can give is when we are balancing our solar plexus,

Okay,

We might spend out some time outside,

Soaking in the sun,

Or meditating on confidence and stuff like that,

Right.

But when you're balancing the heart chakra,

You're getting more into the emotions of who you are,

If that makes sense.

And that's because we're pretty attached to our emotions,

Whatever they may be,

Right.

And so that can be difficult to balance that.

So today,

I want us to focus on good balancing techniques for this.

Okay.

Now,

As you may guess,

Working on balancing the chakra,

You can be wearing green,

You can eat green foods,

You can carry around a rose quartz,

Even though it's not green,

It's rose color.

You can carry around a rose quartz or an emerald,

That's green,

Or a jade,

A green jade.

Okay.

And that is like really,

Really good to do.

But I really think that if you really want to balance this particular chakra,

We have to also pay attention to forgiveness,

And building trust,

And finding compassion.

This is how we can truly balance the chakra.

So now,

The note for this chakra is F.

And if you've ever done a sound healing,

You know,

When they play the heart chakra bowl,

It will be the note of F.

Okay.

The mantra that is associated with the anahata chakra is yam.

Like yam,

Like the vegetable,

But yam.

So you can by yourself,

Just chant yam and sing with the F note.

Okay.

So now,

What we're going to do,

We're going to do a little meditation on all of this.

Actually,

It's a guided meditation.

So I can't wait for you all to experience this because this has the potential to be incredibly powerful for you.

Okay.

So let's close our eyes and sit with our eyes closed and start to relax your body.

Let's take a nice deep breath in through your nose and release it through your mouth.

And place your attention on that beautiful chakra that is the anahata.

Repeat with me.

Yam.

Yam.

Yam.

Now,

Feel that incredible energy.

Activating within your body and your heart.

I invite you to consider the word trust.

Do you trust yourself?

Do you trust your friends,

Your family,

Acquaintances?

I want you to know that whatever the answer is to that question,

It's okay.

And you are magnificent just the way you are.

Repeat with me.

Yam.

Yam.

Yam.

Next,

I invite you to consider compassion.

Is there anyone in your life that you can think of right now where maybe you have lacked a little bit of compassion for?

Not actually knowing their full circumstances and maybe judging or assuming things.

As we consider this,

We ask Archangel Raphael to come in and heal us.

Heal our heart.

Heal their heart.

And importantly,

Healing anyone in need of compassion and empathy.

Repeat with me.

Yam.

Yam.

Yam.

And finally,

Let's consider forgiveness.

Let's contemplate forgiving ourselves for who we are,

For who we are not,

And for who we try to be.

Let's also think about forgiving someone who we may have a grudge against or that we feel has done wrong to us in some way.

As we place our attention back on our heart chakra,

Let's consider what it would be like and how it would feel to forgive ourselves and others in our lives.

And now let's sit in the stillness for just a few minutes.

And place our attention back on our heart chakra.

Yam.
