Merrilyn is a multi‑instrumentalist musician, composer/arranger and producer whose ever‑evolving work moves effortlessly across styles. Known as Mair, she draws deeply from the natural world, shaping peaceful, immersive soundscapes inspired by the Australian outback and its waterways. Her intuitive, stream‑of‑consciousness approach has become a signature of her music. Working from her studio on the banks of the Darling/Baaka River — surrounded by river red gums and native wildlife — Mair creates atmospheric pieces that feel grounded, spacious and alive. She is now expanding her creative practice with visual guided meditations, adding a vivid new dimension to her sonic world.

Soothingly relaxing as I lay along the banks of the Hoh River (Washington state) where we often camped as kids. In the evenings, we snuggled into our sleeping bags with the lullaby of the river, rocking us to sleep! (Water is so soothing for the soul!). Thank you again ! 🙏

This most beautiful piece took me back to my childhood. Our family spent lots of time on the coast of Washington at Kalaloch Beach. My mind was flooded with beauty……. Emotion took over, when I felt my Dad (once again) carry me out into the deep waters and lift me up just in the nick of time before the wave would’ve crashed down upon me! It was so thrilling, but at the same time I knew I was safe in his arms!!! Thank you for creating this piece which I will return to often!!!🙏

What a most cool, playful interaction with the Kookaburras! I could just picture you sitting under a Kookaburras tree. (As a child, we use to sing a song at a 4-H Camp about a Kookaburra sitting in a tree, eating all the gumdrops he could see…. “Stop Kookaburras, save some there for me!”) Thank you for this treat with Kookaburras and the great memories it brought forth! 🙏

Kookaburra’s are one of my favourite birds. I love to watch and listen to them. They bring me so much joy. The beautiful flute and the sound of the kookaburra’s was magic, thank you so much 🙏🏻💜✨
