Many students begin mindfulness practices as a means to manage stress and to alleviate symptoms of stress-based illness. Our goal in this class, is to share practical techniques for mastering everyday stress. It’s important to fully engage with the pre-practice massage, the visualizations, and breath guidance within each class, in this way aligning the body, mind, and breath to achieve a coherency state of awareness as efficiently and consistently as possible. Each class will begin with light stretching and massage followed by a mindful exploration of the daily focus area. For this class, you’ll find that it’s best to practice daily, and at the same time of day if possible. Routine can assist you in your practice goals and will aid you in getting settled faster for practice. Additionally, hydration helps sound vibrations move through the body more easily for live sound sessions AND recordings. Please do remember to drink plenty of water before and after practice. *Sound Meditation - is lightly woven in towards the close of each class. These meditations are designed to circumvent the psychological tendency of musical expectancy. When the brain has an idea what to expect as in musical melody, it has a natural tendency to tune out. Each of these sound practices, though relatively short - only lasting up to 5 minutes of the practice, are a journey in unto themselves. It's always best to just allow the sound waves to wash over and through the system as you breathe slowly. Enjoy with headphones and let us know which class you find most impactful!
