Hello friend,
I'm glad you're here.
If you feel like you've been doing a lot.
Thinking a lot.
Pushing a lot.
And still wondering why it doesn't feel like enough?
This practice is for you.
The strawberry full moon represents a time of ripening.
Not starting.
Not foreseen.
Figuring it all out.
Ripening.
Which means something important.
It means that there are areas of your life that are already complete or close to it.
But if you're used to striving.
You won't necessarily recognize them.
That is where mindfulness becomes more than just a concept.
It becomes a skill.
This is a way of training your attention.
To shift from doing to noticing.
From forcing to allowing.
From overthinking.
To receiving.
Today we're going to combine nervous system grounding.
Some visualization.
And a gentle internal affirmation.
All so you can begin building the skill of recognizing.
What is already ready in your life.
Let's start by getting comfortable.
Put your feet on the floor if that feels right.
Rest your hands easily.
And take a slow breath in through your nose.
And now a longer exhale out through your mouth.
Inhale.
.
.
Exhale.
Let your shoulders drop.
Your jaw soften.
Let your body know it doesn't have to perform right now.
Move your attention to your breath.
You're not changing it.
Just noticing.
Where is your breath landing?
In your chest.
Your belly.
Your throat.
Or all three.
Let's start to deepen our breath.
By gently slowing our inhale.
And exhaling while making that exhale just pop.
Tiny bit longer.
Keep with this rhythm.
And know that a longer exhale signals safety to your nervous system.
You are moving out of urgency and into steadiness.
Moving our awareness to our bodies.
I want you to notice any tension that you're holding.
You're not trying to fix it.
You're just acknowledging.
That there's tension.
In different parts of your body.
Take one more slow breath.
We have arrived.
Imagine yourself walking along a quiet path at dusk.
The air is warm.
There's no breeze.
And ahead of you,
You see a wide open field.
The light from the setting sun is soft.
And the field fills.
Welcoming.
And gentle.
As you start to walk into the field.
You notice something immediately.
Everything here in this field is in season.
There is no rushing.
There is no forcing.
Simply growth that has already happened.
As you move into the field further.
Your body feels this environment.
It feels safe.
And unhurried.
As you're walking.
You begin to notice.
Patches.
Of strawberries.
Some are still growing Some are still green and not quite ready.
And some of them are fully ripe.
Bright red.
Deep in color and ready to be received.
Take a breath.
This field represents your life.
Every patch.
A different area.
Your work in one patch?
Your relationships in another.
Your healing in this patch right here.
And your growth in the patch right in front of you.
Instead of looking for what might be missing.
We are looking to notice what is already ready.
Ask yourself.
What in my life?
Is already ripe.
That I haven't fully received.
Something will come forward and present itself.
Don't overthink it.
It might be super subtle.
It may be a sense of stability.
A boundary that you have already set.
Perhaps a level of clarity.
That you didn't have before.
Or perhaps the fact that you're here right now doing this work.
Whatever area that is.
Begin walking towards that patch.
That represents that part of your life.
You approach slowly.
When you arrive,
Kneel down next to this patch.
And notice.
Just notice what is here.
We're not analyzing it.
We're just going to be with it.
Reach out now.
And pick one ripe strawberry.
Feel it in your hands.
This represents something real.
Something that is complete.
It's something that you don't have to chase anymore.
Let yourself pause.
Embrace C.
Receive this in your body and notice what happens.
Receiving might feel unfamiliar.
And there may be a subtle urge to move on to improve or question.
Stay with this.
And take a breath.
Repeat to yourself.
I am receptive to what is ready.
I am receptive to what I have created.
I am receptive to receiving without proving.
We are beginning to retrain our mind and support our nervous system.
By recognizing safety and sufficiency.
Slowly stand and continue to walk through the field of strawberries.
You've come across another patch.
This one feels different.
It's not ready.
Maybe this is something you've been pushing,
Trying to control,
Trying to rush into clarity or outcome.
Ask yourself.
What am I trying to force that isn't ready yet?
Let the answer come.
And take a step back.
You're not rejecting it.
You are not abandoning it.
You are just removing the pressure.
Let it exist without your constant effort.
You trying to force it will not make it come any sooner.
Notice your body.
There's more space.
There is less urgency.
And more room to breathe.
As you're standing.
Take a moment to look around at the entire field.
You see that some things are very ready,
Like that beautiful,
Big,
Ripe strawberry.
And some things are still growing.
They'll get there.
Just not yet.
And some things need space,
Need you to step away.
Your job here is not to manage all of it.
Your job is to recognize.
2.
Receive and to trust the timing.
Take a look up into the night sky.
And see the strawberry full moon rising above you.
It is warm.
And large and steady.
Its light spreads across the field.
And across you.
And while you are in that light,
Something settles within you.
Not excitement,
Not urgency.
Just calm.
You are filled with a grounded sense of enough.
Standing here,
You breathe deeply.
Feeling the enoughness of it all.
.
.
Begin to bring your awareness back to your body.
Your breath.
And the space around you.
Notice how you feel.
Even if it's subtle.
Even if it's just a little more space.
You don't need to chase what's already ready.
You don't need to prove.
What's already real.
As you move through your day or week.
Ask yourself.
Am I reaching now?
Or am I receiving?
This question can interrupt old patterns and bring you right back into alignment.
You don't need more information.
You just need to receive it.
What is ready for you right now.
