I invite you to sit in a comfortable position and gently close your eyes.

Take a deep breath in,
Allowing fresh air to fill your lungs.
As you exhale,
Imagine any stressors leaving your body as you travel into a beautiful landscape of crisp autumn leaves.
Take another deep breath in and count to four as you inhale.
Hold your breath for a few additional counts and slowly exhale to the count of six.
Take two more rounds of the four-count inhale,
And with each relaxing breath,
Allow yourself to settle on thoughts of a peaceful autumn landscape.
Now,
As you continue to breathe normally,
Imagine yourself a tree.
Your breath grounds and roots you to the earth.
Continue breathing in and out.
Imagine large,
Beautiful trees around you and branches swaying slightly in the breeze.
Notice how each tree stands tall and moves in rhythm with nature.
The leaves are changing their tones from deep greens of summer to vibrant oranges,
Reds,
And yellows ready to release.
Just as a tree lets go of its leaves,
You have permission to let go too.
Continue to breathe,
And as you exhale,
Gently acknowledge that letting go gives you room to grow in your next season.
Take one more deep breath,
And as you exhale,
Release any remaining tension.
When you're ready,
Gently return to the present moment and carry the quiet warmth of your autumn landscape with you as you move into the rest of your day.
