In a Gurdwara the singing of the hymns is a major component of the service. The entire Guru Granth Sahib is written to music—all of the Scriptures can be sung. so some of you may recognize this as the original version of kirtan. This hymn is a chant called Naam Nith Nith Lay, it means to always, always remember God, and in this remembering God within will free us from the ocean of duality, and our mind and body shall be blessed with peace.
