This 10-minute guided meditation uses the devotional mantra “Govind Bolo Hari Gopal Bolo” to bring the heart into joy and presence. Through gentle breath awareness, chanting, and silence, the practice invokes four divine qualities: Govind – the nourisher and protector Hari – the remover of sorrow Gopal – the playful, innocent Krishna Radha-Ramana – the beloved, symbol of divine love By repeating and resting in the mantra, we release heaviness, invite lightness and playfulness, and connect with the sweetness of devotion. The meditation closes with a gentle intention to carry this joy into daily life.

Namaste,

I am Mahua and I welcome you to this meditation.

Today we will journey together with a beautiful mantra,

Govinda Bolo Hari Gopal Bolo,

Radha Ramana Hari Gopal Bolo.

This is a bhakti or devotional mantra.

Each name we repeat is not just a sound but a doorway into feeling.

Feeling of protection,

Joy,

Playfulness and love.

Over the next eight to ten minutes,

Allow these words to soften you,

Open your heart and bring you into presence.

Let's begin by finding a comfortable posture,

Whatever comfortable means to you.

Sit with your spine tall,

Shoulders soft,

Hands resting on your lap or at your heart.

If it's available to you,

Close your eyes gently,

Take a deep inhale and exhale fully.

Once more,

Inhale deeply and exhale slowly.

Feel yourself arriving here.

Bring your attention to the natural rhythm of your breath and notice the rise and fall of your chest,

Your stomach.

With every inhale,

Imagine light filling your heart and with every exhale,

Let go of any heaviness or tension.

This is your sacred space to just be.

Before we begin chanting,

Let me share the meaning of these words.

All these are names of Lord Krishna.

Govind,

The nourisher,

The one who protects and sustains all beings.

Hari,

The remover of sorrow,

The one who carries away our burdens.

Gopal,

Krishna as the playful cowherd,

Symbol of innocence and joy.

Radharaman,

The beloved of Radha,

That is Lord Krishna,

Symbolizing divine love and union.

So when we say Govind Bolo Hari Gopal Bolo,

We are really reminding ourselves,

Take the name of the divine who protects,

Who removes sorrow,

Who plays with love and who opens the heart to joy.

Now bring the mantra into the practice.

You may chant softly,

Whisper it,

Repeat it silently within or simply listen.

I am going to sing the mantra.

Radharaman Hari Gopal Bolo,

O Hari Gopal Bolo,

O Hari Gopal Bolo.

Let the mantra flow with your breath.

Feel Govind as protection,

Hari as relief,

Gopal as playfulness,

Radharaman as love.

Allow these words to echo through your heart and if your mind wanders,

Gently return to the mantra.

I will repeat the mantra few more times.

Govind Bolo Hari Gopal Bolo,

Govind Bolo Hari Gopal Bolo,

Govind Bolo Hari Gopal Bolo,

Govind Bolo Hari Gopal Bolo.

Now let the mantra fade into stillness.

Notice the quiet vibration it has left within you.

Rest in that space of sweetness and peace.

There is nothing to do,

Nowhere to go,

Just being.

Sit in the silence for a few moments before we close.

Now bring your palms together at your heart.

Whisper softly once more,

Govind Bolo Hari Gopal Bolo.

Take a deep inhale and exhale slowly.

As you come back,

You may want to wriggle your fingers,

Toes,

Stretch a little and if your eyes are closed,

You can open your eyes.

Carry this feeling of lightness,

Love and devotion with you as you move through your day.

Thank you so much for meditating with me.

Namaste.

Namaste.
