Seed of Gratitude Meditation This meditation is designed to harness the high frequency of gratitude by expanding it within your body.
Gratitude is one of the most powerful emotions we can experience.
As it is rooted in the present moment,
It is rooted in the energy of having,
It is rooted in the energy of unconditional love.
So when we are able to expand this experience of gratitude from within us,
We attract more things to be grateful for in our everyday life.
So let's start by finding a nice comfortable position.
You are welcome to do this meditation sitting up or lying down.
Just arriving in your space,
Taking a moment to feel your sit bones heavy on the earth beneath you.
Feeling your crown drawing up towards the sky.
Just feeling your body held in the space between.
We will begin by taking three deep conscious and intentional breaths together.
Breathing in deeply through the nose.
Feeling your body expanding and filling up with fresh oxygen.
And exhaling,
Releasing through the mouth,
Letting go of all that which no longer serves you.
Inhaling deeply through the nose.
Breathing in whatever it is you need for this practice today.
And exhale,
Just letting go through the mouth.
One more deep breath together,
Inhaling through the nose.
Feel your entire body,
Your entire being expanding with this beautiful fresh prana in the body.
And letting everything go through the mouth.
And then we're going to continue to follow the stream of breath as it travels in and out through the nose.
Feeling the inhale traveling deep down into the base of the diaphragm,
Noticing how the body receives the breath.
And following the stream of breath back up and out again,
Notice how the body softens and surrenders with each exhale.
And just continuing to ride this beautiful ebb and flow of the breath as it brings you more into your body.
Allowing the breath to soften your edges to bring about a sense of grounding and expansion.
And then we're going to start at the top of the head,
Just gently scanning the body downwards so really feeling for any tension,
Emotional,
Physical,
Or mental.
Just scanning downwards,
Like an x ray.
Just noticing as you scan the body,
Feeling everything that is not yours to carry just melting away.
Moving all the way down the arms and the chest and the torso,
The back of the body,
Feeling the breath carrying this release.
This cleansing,
The softening all the way down the legs until your entire body is present,
Receptive and soft.
Bringing your attention to your heart center.
This is a space in the center of your chest your energetic heart center.
The most powerful energy center.
And this is your place where we cultivate the feeling of gratitude.
So I'd like you to imagine planting a seed.
The center of your chest.
Maybe you'd like to use your hand to physically connect with this part of you,
Planting this beautiful golden seed.
The center of your heart.
The seed is the seed of gratitude.
And your breath is the water that the seed needs in order to grow.
So bringing to heart that feeling of gratitude.
So perhaps allowing some stories or memories to flow into your being.
Maybe remembering a time,
Bringing to mind something that you are grateful for.
Can be anything,
Big or small.
Expanding the thought into a feeling.
So really bringing about that feeling of gratitude right now in the center of your heart.
And then going to begin to expand this feeling using the breath and the visualization of the seed of gratitude expanding into your entire being.
So each time you feel in breathe in.
Feeling the gratitude,
Glowing and expanding.
And each time you breathe out.
You take a moment of pause.
Each time you breathe in.
Expanding this gratitude.
And each time you breathe out,
Taking a moment of pause and integration.
Continuing with the breath.
Watering this beautiful seed of gratitude and watching it grow within you.
So maybe it's growing into something else.
Maybe it's growing into a beautiful tree.
Flower.
Just notice what appears as you continue to breathe and feed this beautiful seed of gratitude as the feeling fills your entire body.
And then noticing how it expands even more beyond the body.
Expanding heart field of gratitude.
Continuing with this practice of breathing in to expand it.
And exhale to integrate.
Continuing with this now.
Really feeling yourself completely one with this experience of gratitude.
Becoming a magnet for more things in your physical and non-physical world to be grateful for.
You're welcome to continue with this practice for as long as is needed.
If you feel ready.
Bringing your left hand onto your heart center.
And your right hand on top of your left.
Taking a moment to connect with this beautiful organism that's growing within you.
This blossoming seed of gratitude for all that you are and all that you have.
And really feeling how this is available to us.
In every moment there is always something to be grateful for.
Taking a moment to honor this beautiful light that you are.
This power.
This consciousness.
This soul being in a human vessel.
And sealing this practice in by bowing your forehead towards your heart center.
Acknowledging the gratitude,
The love,
The being that you are.
I invite you to carry this sense of gratitude throughout your day today.
Whatever may come into your path.
Knowing that you can always come back to this.
Because it is you.
