Following on from earlier work by Nikola Tesla, the German physicist, Prof. Schumann predicted in the mid-twentieth century that there are electrical standing waves in the atmosphere and discovered that the earth’s ionosphere produces a very specific pulsation. In 1954, measurements taken by him and Dr. Herbert König confirmed an earth frequency of 7.83Hz. This has become known as the Schumann Resonance.
