Settle into a position that feels comfortable enough for your body to rest.
You do not need to sit in a particular way or hold yourself differently.
Just let yourself arrive as you are.
Feel the surface beneath you supporting your weight,
Steady and unmoving,
Holding you without effort.
Take a gentle breath in,
Not to change anything,
Just to notice it,
And let the breath move out again in its own time.
You do not need to regulate it or deepen it.
Your body already knows how to breathe.
You are simply keeping it company.
As you sit or lie here,
Notice that nothing is being asked of you.
There is nowhere you need to go in this moment and nothing you need to figure out.
The world can wait for a little while.
Even your thoughts do not need to be managed.
They can come and go as they like.
Let your attention drift into the body.
You might notice places that feel settled and others that feel a little held or alert.
You do not need to adjust them,
Just notice what is already here.
Sometimes,
Safety begins not by changing sensation,
But by allowing it to exist without resistance.
Feel how the ground beneath you remains consistent.
It does not react to your thoughts or your mood.
It simply supports you.
Let yourself lean into that steadiness,
Even slightly.
Even just the idea of it is enough.
If there is tension in the body,
You do not need to release it.
Often the body holds on because it believes it needs to.
Let it know,
Quietly and without words,
That there is no demand to let go.
If something softens,
It softens.
If it stays,
That is also fine.
Notice the space around you,
The air touching your skin,
The quiet presence of the room.
There is nothing here that requires your vigilance.
Nothing you need to watch or monitor.
This moment is simple and it is safe to be inside it.
You may notice the mind continuing to move,
Planning or reviewing or gently looping.
That is ok.
You do not need to follow it.
You can let thoughts pass through the background while you stay connected to the feeling of being supported here and now.
Let yourself rest in the fact that you are allowed to pause.
You do not need to earn this rest by being calm or settled or even focused.
Rest comes from permission,
Not performance.
And you have already given yourself that permission by being here.
If you like,
Imagine that your body is being held in exactly the way it needs.
Not tightly,
Not loosely,
Just enough.
As if life itself is saying you can stop carrying everything for a moment.
You are not alone with your experience.
Stay here for a few breaths,
Letting the body settle in its own rhythm.
There is no finish line to reach.
No particular feeling to arrive at.
Just this gentle sense of being supported right where you are.
As this meditation comes to a close,
You do not need to shift gears quickly.
Take whatever you are feeling with you.
If you are moving into rest,
Let that happen naturally.
If you are returning to your day,
Bring this sense of steadiness with you.
You are safe to let go,
Even just a little,
And you can return to this feeling whenever you need.
Thank you.
