Transcript

Before you begin this grounded visualization and letting go exercise,

I invite you to find a quiet place where you can sit or lie down,

Whatever feels most relaxing to you.

Closing your eyes when you're ready.

Bring your attention to your breath now.

Just noticing the pace and the rise and fall of your chest with each inhale and exhale.

When you're ready,

Imagining yourself transported to your favourite beach,

Hearing the waves and the sand beneath your toes.

You can't yet see the water,

But you can hear it.

The water,

A hypnotic sound of reassurance.

You walk down the slope,

The sand beneath your toes and then the water comes into view,

The most gorgeous turquoise blue.

You take it all in like you're seeing it for the very first time.

You leave your belongings on the beach and take your first steps into the water.

It's cool and inviting and it brushes your skin.

You notice the warmth of the sunshine on your face,

Warming you up from the inside out.

A nice contrast as you head further into the cool water until you're waist deep.

With your eyes shut,

You take in all the sensations around you.

The feel of the water against your skin,

The refreshing coolness,

The sun shining down,

The sound of laughter in the distance.

You notice yourself starting to breathe a little easier and deeper as you drop further into your body,

Becoming more present.

You decide to swim out just a little further until your feet can't touch the sea floor.

The water is a little cooler here,

But the view is spectacular as you take in what's on the horizon.

You see a far off ship and an island in the distance and the rest is ocean as far as the eye can see.

You're reminded how big and powerful and vast the water is.

For a moment,

It makes you feel small,

Which makes everything else feel small too.

You can just be right in this moment.

Any stress and worries that you're holding onto melt away into the ocean.

You start to notice how everything is feeling easier since being in the water.

Like it's taken all the weight and heaviness you were carrying around and replaced it with ease.

You're allowing yourself to sink deeper into this moment where all you have to do is be.

You take a final look around and you notice the sun shining down on the water,

Creating little specks of diamonds.

Everything is beautiful.

Even more beautiful than you remembered.

You allow yourself to remember all the small details and most of all this feeling of lightness and gratitude.

You decide to head to the shore,

Feeling lighter and renewed,

Grounded and resourced.

This was just the thing that you needed.

You thank the ocean for its calming presence.

You lay down in the sun until you drive.

When you're ready you may slowly come back to the present moment.
