Details

Step away from the noise and come home to a deep feeling of connection to yourself, each other and nature. Join us on Ishigaki Island for a 5-night, 6-day retreat at the intersection of psychological healing and spiritual awakening. Through meditation, yoga, somatic practices, and immersion in nature, you’ll be guided to rest, release, and reconnect with your body, breath, and intuition. We’re constantly striving—doing more, improving, achieving. Even our work and conversations are often tied to a goal, leaving little space for genuine enjoyment. But when we're always in go-mode, we rarely feel truly connected, creative, or present. If you’re ready to experience the kind of presence that only comes from true rest, join us for our 5-day Meditation & Yoga Retreat on Ishigaki Island in Okinawa— just 2 minutes from the beach. We’ll have about 3 hours of guided meditation practices daily and 1 hour of yoga, plus occasional activities like sound healing, snorkeling, and island explorations. Most afternoons will leave 2–3 hours of free time for you to rest, integrate, or explore the island. Expect to come away with: A deep mental and physical reset, not just another vacation A renewed sense of ease, lightness, and inner calm A real connection with nature, yourself, and like-minded people A daily practice to integrate what you’ve learned

Le Lotus Bleu is in an old traditional Japanese house, with 5 rooms, in the quiet and well-preserved village of Shiraho on Ishigaki island, 200m from the beach and the lagoon, well known for its blue coral reef. The house itself is about 500sq meters, with a lot of common spaces on first floor, terrasses and garden. It was moved from Hida Takayama, so it is the only house in Ishigaki with that strong Japanese style. We do yoga classes, massages and excursions on Ishigaki island, so you can discover Ishigaki natural beauty, and reconnect with yourselves through relaxing activities. Our rooms are for 2 to 6 people. It is possible to book the complete house for your group. Minimum stay is 3 nights, kids under 10 are not allowed. Please read carefully explanations on our website before booking.

The retreat in Okinawa (Ishigaki Island) was my first-ever retreat experience , and it came at a time when I really needed to get away from my hectic life in Tokyo. Shiraho village is peaceful, with enough local cafes and restaurants to explore during downtime. The retreat center was just minutes from the beach, and it was a perfect blend of traditional Japanese design beautifully adapted to the tropical surroundings. The weather wasn’t great for most of the retreat, but the setting was so serene that I didn’t mind staying indoors to meditate, journal, or go to one of the cozy nearby cafes or restaurants. I’d even say the rain added to the magic and gave my inner work and contemplations more depth. Luckily, the weather was great on the day we went snorkeling (I highly recommend the snorkeling tour - the coral reef in Shiraho is absolutely stunning!!! ) Morning yoga was really grounding, even though I don’t usually practice much yoga. Each session was thoughtfully adjusted to match the theme of the day. There was something about the setting, the themes, and the gentle movement that brought unexpected clarity, allowing me to see some past life events from a new perspective. The daily meditations were varied in style and let me connect with myself in different ways. Some meditations let me get in touch with my creativity, some were more reflective, some deeply relaxing, and some gently challenged me to sit with emotions or thoughts I tend to avoid. Misha is an excellent meditation guide: super helpful, knowledgeable, compassionate, and patient. I came back to Tokyo feeling grounded, and ready to go back to my busy life. Last but not least, the food was amazing! ! Dinner was catered by local chefs and I looked forward to fresh Okinawa dishes every day. I’ve also attended a few other events and workshops with Tokyo Mindfulness and each experience has been wonderful. I highly recommend attending an event with them if you’re in Tokyo! The community has been integral to my mental and spiritual well-being here.

I was going through burnout and life problems. This was the perfect amount of time, small group, beautiful setting. It offers a solution not to solve everything in one weekend, but tools to take and use in everyday life. Calm, peace, rest and reset. It was an amazing experience. It could not have come at a better time. The retreat was the perfect way to disconnect and reset. It really helped to clear my head of everything going on. Misha was amazing, calm, caring, and listened. He was an amazing guide on this journey. I definitely will be back for more.

I joined the Retreat of March 2025. The host since the first moment was very open and providing a positive vibe to the participants so we could feel comfortable while being part of the experience. This has been my first retreat and my first touch to Buddhist concepts and I can say it has been a very good experience of learning new tools and realizing things I was missing about myself. This has been a great opportunity to create meaningful conversation with others as well, while being vulnerable and feeling comfortable with it. I’ll keep practicing the techniques we learned from now on.
