Details

Join devotional singer and compassionate guide, Carrie Grossman, for a journey into the wild landscape of the heart. Set in the land of enchantment and the magical energy of Taos, New Mexico, you will enjoy five nights and six days of spiritual teachings and conversation, music and mantra, meditation, deep rest, and more. Retreat Description: We live in a world that defines “worth” by how much we achieve and accomplish. As children, many of us are taught that love needs to be earned, so we spend our lives seeking approval and validation from the outside—often at great cost to our soul. But what if another way is possible—a way that’s grounded in trust that who we are is enough? As mystics through the ages have taught, the light we seek lives within us, and nothing can defile it. When we learn to quiet the outside noise, we can connect to this light and live in alignment with our destiny. This retreat promises to be a very special journey, supported by the beautiful desert landscape, nourishing food, and a like-minded community of seekers.

Our retreat will take place at Hyperslow Retreat Center in the historic San Geronimo lodge. A beautiful and rare example of traditional Taos architecture, the Lodge has adobe walls, high viga ceilings, and rambling verandas. Situated amongst fruit trees with stunning mountain views, the property spans two acres and includes a pool, hot tub, sauna, shaded nooks, yurt, hammocks, meditation labyrinth, and fire pit. The en-suite rooms are serene and comfortable, with luxury linens and locally-made toiletries. The meditation hall, bedrooms, walking spaces, dining room, and kitchen are all within one building. There is one wheelchair accessible bedroom with enough beds to allow for an attendant, if needed. There are 28 rooms available at Hyperslow. Once those are filled, overflow lodging will be available across the street at the Old Taos Guesthouse Inn (one minute walk) - or you are welcome to stay at any of the other inns, hotels, or Airbnbs in Taos.

Testimonials

info

Having had the privilege of translating for Carrie's retreat in Japan, I have come to realize that she is a unique spiritual person with purity of heart, profound wisdom, and humility. She is a great guide. When I convey her words, there is no wavering in me. I feel that this is because her words come from the depths of her soul and are full of sincerity. The exquisite and pure sacred sound mantra sung by Carrie resonates deep within, clearing the smoldering clouds in our hearts, and transporting us to a deep sacred dimension that embraces both darkness and light.

Masako, Japan

Time with Carrie, listening to her music and her beautiful voice, hearing her words of wisdom spoken so eloquently, and feeling her presence have once again left an indelible mark on my soul. I always come away from being with her having a full heart and appreciating a renewed sense of spirituality.

Sharon, U.S.

Carrie’s retreat was a true revelation for me in a deeply personal way. She touched on so many issues we all face on this human journey and I felt healed and transformed.
