Across five themed days—The Apprentice, The Explorer, The Seer, The Sage, and The Crowned Creator—you’ll experience a progression that supports the whole self: The Apprentice lays the foundation with intention-setting and clearing space for transformation. The Explorer invites gentle movement, group activities, and reflection to expand awareness in body and mind. The Seer awakens intuition and inner vision through creative expression and synchronicity. The Sage activates innate wisdom through philosophy, spiritual teachings, and reflective practices. The Crowned Creator integrates body, mind, and spirit in a closing celebration and ceremony. Our private mountainside residence is the perfect location to rest, reflect and rejuvenate mind, body and spirit — either through a Pathways-sponsored retreat, or your own special event offering. With luxurious accommodations, gourmet kitchen, large outdoor decks and hot tub, fire pits and communal spaces, the Pathways Retreat Center is ideal for hosting small groups interested in Yoga, health and wellness weekends, writers’ retreats, workplace bonding getaways, or just a relaxing escape with friends and family surrounded by nature’s beauty. Located outside Charlottesville, VA, the house is within 2.5 hours driving distance from the greater DC Metro & surrounding areas, Richmond, VA, and other major mid-Atlantic urban hubs. The 34-acre property boasts spectacular mountain views, trails and streams. Points of interest within an hour’s drive include: the Appalachian Trail, Shenandoah National Park & Skyline Drive, and several local wineries, breweries and distilleries.

During meal times, guests are welcome to choose the experience that feels most nourishing in the moment—whether that’s communing with the group over lively conversation or taking a quiet plate for reflective, personal time. All meals are served buffet-style on the kitchen counter (pictured) at scheduled times. Guests may gather at the dining table (pictured) for shared connection, or—when the weather allows—step outside to savor their meal amidst the serene beauty of the property. With multiple seating options, you’ll have the freedom to enjoy your food in community or in solitude, always surrounded by the peaceful mountain atmosphere. Meals are thoughtfully prepared to be wholesome, balanced, and satisfying, reflecting the supportive spirit of the retreat environment.

Schedule

In between sessions, participants will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a retreat leader based on their expertise. There will also be time to explore the property at a relaxed pace, or simply rest and reflect. Optional daily meditations and sound baths are available for those who wish to join. The overall atmosphere is spacious, restful, and deeply supportive—an invitation to engage as much or as little as feels right.

  • Once registered, we’ll connect with you to learn about any dietary restrictions or special accommodations needed. No prior experience is required—just bring an open heart, a willingness to explore, and comfortable clothing for a body–mind–spirit journey.

Cancellation policy

The remaining balance for the retreat is due 30 days prior to the start date. If this balance is paid earlier than these 30 days, you are eligible to cancel and receive a full refund of this remaining balance, provided you do so at least 30 days before the retreat begins.
