Take this time to rest back,
Whether you're lying down,
Sitting,
Standing,
And even walking around.
Just notice what you're carrying into this moment.
Might you imagine a folder that you can put everything that you're carrying into this moment in the folder,
Knowing that in a few minutes you can come back to it.
But right now,
It's a time to take a break.
Let your senses open into this present moment,
The sounds that are around you,
The touch of air on your skin,
And sensations of warmth or coolness,
Sensations where your body's touching the surfaces that are providing support.
Notice the gentle coming and going of the breath,
The belly expanding gently with each inhalation and releasing with each exhalation.
With each inhalation,
Feel energy enlivening your heart,
Your chest area.
With each exhalation,
This energy and a sense of well-being spreading out throughout your entire body,
Inhaling,
Attention being focused in and around the chest and heart,
Exhaling.
Feel a wave of sensation coursing out towards the extremities,
Filling everywhere with energy,
With well-being.
Noting any thoughts or feeling emotions that are present,
But for now,
But for now,
Letting attention focus into the breath.
Inhale,
Gathering energy and vitality in the heart.
Exhaling,
Feeling it spreading out throughout every cell and tissue throughout the entire body,
Infusing a sense of well-being,
A sense of grounded ease.
Letting go of thoughts and thinking.
Feel yourself more and more settling down into the heart or the belly,
And just a moment of being.
When you're simply taking a moment of time out to simply be,
Without going into thinking,
The whole body alive with energy,
Each inhalation enlivening that energy,
Each exhalation moving it out throughout the entire body.
In this moment of simply being,
Notice how being doesn't need anything,
Doesn't need fixing or changing.
It's okay okay just as it is,
Just as you are as being.
And settling in more and more just to the felt sense of being and where and how you feel that in the body and how in your basic being,
There's a feeling of value and meaning and purpose in simply being.
Nothing you need to do in this moment except be.
Thoughts like butterflies,
Setting them free to float up above you while you settle more and more into the ease of simply being,
Feeling your basic grounded okayness,
While tapping into this vital life force,
This inner energy that's living your body,
That's providing a sense of value and meaning and purpose just in being.
With each exhalation,
Nourish this inner feeling of being and with each inhalation,
Stay with this ease of being that you come upon during exhaling.
Jaw soft,
Shoulders at ease with this feeling of simply being.
Welcome in any accompanying feelings of well-being or loving-kindness,
The whole body taking in this moment of simply being and being at ease,
A basic okayness,
And setting perhaps your intention to continue taking momentary breathing breaks as you move back out into your day,
Wherever you are,
Whomever you're with,
Whatever your circumstance.
Imagine it right now,
You're in a conversation or engaged in an activity and there's a moment where you tune back into your breath,
The exhalation inviting and nourishing this grounded sense of well-being in the midst of the activity,
Taking it with you as you continue now into your day with each exhalation,
Nourishing a grounded sense of energy and well-being that you carry with you all day long.
And when it feels right,
Let your eyes open and close several times so that you can take this with you now into your eyes open state of being all day long.
