This meditation is inspired by my desire to break down the barriers and prejudices between us. It is a practice of devotion and we build up to an affirmation practice, using the words of the enlightened Paramahansa Yogananda.

So first off,

We want to start with the correct posture.

I'm sitting cross-legged,

But you don't have to be cross-legged.

Your legs are not that important.

You can sit on a chair.

Whatever you do with your legs is fine.

Just try to get your spine erect and have your chest nice and open.

There are different ways to use mudras in your practice,

But I'm not going to delve into that in this one.

The only thing I want to invite you is to open your palms to the ceiling or to the sky.

It creates a sense of openness,

And it is a sense of receiving,

Because we're going to receive now.

So when you are ready,

You can close your eyes.

Once your eyes are closed,

Turn your eyes up to look to the point between your eyebrows.

This is our center of divine perception and concentration.

If this feels uncomfortable,

You can relax your eyes a little bit and just keep your attention there.

Especially if you're new to this,

It can be a bit uncomfortable.

Try to keep your attention there.

You might lift your chin a tiny millimeter just to open up a little bit more.

Then take a deep breath in through the nose.

Hold the breath at the top and clench all the muscles in the body.

Hold it tight and exhale and relax.

Again,

Full breath in.

Hold and tense and relax.

One more time.

Deep breath in.

Hold and tense and exhale,

Relax.

Making sure again that your back is straight,

Focusing on the space between the eyebrows.

I want us to take a moment to not be serious,

But to just honor this moment.

I'm gonna do a prayer,

And this prayer is not specific to any religion.

It is just to whatever creator you might feel connected with.

And we wanna invite all the deities from all religions,

The gurus,

The ascended masters,

Our guides,

Angels,

Ancestors,

Anyone that has ever had any good intent towards us.

Come and be with us now.

Be with us in this meditation.

Come and sit with us.

Encircle us with your presence and your protection.

We thank you for being here.

Now we'll just sit for a moment of silent meditation.

You can keep your eyes closed,

Looking up to the point between your eyebrows.

Your breath is completely natural.

You don't have to think about the breath.

Just enjoy the silence.

I will guide you now through an affirmation.

This is a quote from Paramahansa Yogananda that is very dear to me.

The first round,

You can say out loud with me.

The second round,

You will do a little bit softer.

And the third round,

Just as a whisper.

And then finally,

Only mentally.

I am the cosmic sphere of love in which I behold all planets,

All stars,

All beings,

All creation as glimmering lights.

I am the love that illuminates the whole universe.

Thou art love and I am made in thine image.

Now repeat softly.

I am the cosmic sphere of love in which I behold all planets,

All stars,

All beings,

All creation as glimmering lights.

I am the love that illumines the whole universe.

Thou art love and I am made in thine image.

Now repeating as a whisper.

I am the cosmic sphere of love in which I behold all planets,

All stars,

All beings,

All creation as glimmering lights.

I am the love that illumines the whole universe.

Thou art love and I am made in thine image.

And now repeat mentally.

I am the cosmic sphere of love in which I behold all planets,

All stars,

All beings,

All creation as glimmering lights.

I am the love that illumines the whole universe.

Thou art love and I am made in thine image.

Sit silently and let these words wash over you.

Let them fill your body,

Your cells,

Your mind and your heart and try to reach for the deeper meaning behind the words as we sit in silent meditation.

Now as we come out of meditation,

Try to bring the sense of oneness with you.

Chances are we'll lose it at some point during the day,

Which is fine because we can find it again.

I invite you to come back to this practice as many times as you like.

Be mindful in the next couple of moments on what you do,

What you think and what you get busy with.

We finish by thanking all deities and beings that were with us in this practice.

And I say thank you to all of you that are trusting me with your time.

Thank you so much for being here with me and I will see you guys again very soon.

Namaste.
