When we're in pain,
The natural inclination for many of us is to push our emotions away to avoid discomfort.
But unprocessed emotion doesn't disappear.
It settles into our energy field,
Creating stagnation and dis-ease.
There's a common fear that feeling our pain means we'll be stuck in it forever,
And it will consume us.
In truth,
The opposite happens.
When we allow ourselves to fully feel,
Without the story,
Judgment,
Or expectations,
The energy moves and clears naturally,
Often in less than a minute.
In this session,
You'll be lovingly guided through a practice to help you feel,
Process,
And release negative emotions,
So that you can begin to feel lighter,
Clearer,
And more free.
Whether you came here today feeling upset about something in particular,
Or just emotional and on the verge of tears without even knowing why,
This space is for you.
You're safe to feel here.
You're completely supported,
And you can pause this recording at any time if you need to go more slowly.
Let's begin.
Settle into a comfortable position of your choice.
Close your eyes.
Bring your attention to the top of your head,
And allow your whole scalp to relax and release.
Soften the muscles in your forehead.
Release any clenching in your jaw.
Relax your neck and shoulders.
Let your body come to rest.
Notice the support under your body,
A chair,
Bed,
Or floor.
And then notice the support of the earth underneath that.
Sense that your whole body is being supported and held by Mother Earth,
The same way a loving mother would hold her child.
Take a deep breath in,
And let it go.
Take another deep breath,
And release.
One more deep breath in,
And release.
Bring your awareness to the present moment,
And start to tune in to your own energy.
Now is the time to invite any emotions to rise to the surface.
You might think of something in particular that's upsetting you,
Or simply open to whatever is ready to be felt,
Acknowledged,
And cleared.
No matter how charged your emotions are,
Know that they are completely valid,
And it's safe to feel them now.
Could you give yourself full permission to feel your raw emotions in this moment?
Breathe into what you're feeling,
Even if it's uncomfortable.
Set aside any stories of what might have happened,
Or who said what.
Let everything go,
And just breathe into your feelings.
Allow yourself to feel exactly how you feel,
Fully and completely,
Without trying to change or resist anything.
You might find it helpful to name the emotion.
What words best describe how you're feeling?
Notice where in your body you feel the emotional energy.
Breathe and observe any sensations that arise.
As you breathe,
Notice how the energy might expand,
Contract,
And shift naturally.
Allow it to flow and clear through you.
Your body and mind know exactly how to release it.
As the emotions and sensations start to dissipate,
You might wish to set an intention to help fully clear the energy.
If it feels right for you,
You can repeat these words silently or aloud.
May all energy that no longer serves me be cleared in all directions of time and space.
May this energy return to the light and be transformed into peace.
May every layer of my energy field be restored to balance and harmony.
And so it is.
Take a deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Imagine light expanding from your heart,
Clearing,
Balancing,
And renewing your energy field.
Allow that light to move wherever it's needed most,
Trusting that a deep healing is taking place.
Gently bring your awareness back into your whole body now.
Feel the support beneath you once more,
In the grounding presence of the earth below.
You might like to gently wiggle your fingers and toes,
Or stretch your neck.
As you slowly awaken,
Notice how you feel now compared to when we began.
Has anything shifted for you?
You might sense more peace,
Clarity,
Or spaciousness.
And if you don't feel fully relieved yet,
That's okay.
It may simply mean that there are more layers to be worked through.
Each time you repeat this process,
More energy will clear,
And you'll begin to feel lighter.
Remember,
You hold the power to shift and transform your energy.
You don't need to suffer or stay stuck in pain.
Emotions are simply energy in motion,
And when you allow yourself to feel,
You can truly heal.
