My hope is not in horses and chariots.

My hope is not in tanks and bombs and guns.

My hope is not in riches or fame.

My hope is not in empire or power.

My hope is in peace.

My hope is in love.

My hope is in compassion and kindness.

Our hope is in unfailing love.

Unconditional compassion and kindness.

Our hope is in the love that created the cosmos.

Our hope is in the breath of life.

True hope is in the love whose very breath birthed worlds.

Human strength and the weapons of man are false hopes for victory.

They may seem mighty,

Yet they will always disappoint.

True hope is not in death.

True hope is in life.
