Welcome to this guided meditation on embracing optimism and rediscovering joy.

Find a comfortable position,

Either sitting or lying down,

And close your eyes.

Let's slow down your breathing.

Take a few deep breaths,

Inhaling slowly through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.

Four seconds in,

Four seconds out,

Four seconds in,

Four seconds out.

Now,

Just breathe at the pace that is most comfortable for you.

Feel the relaxation,

Feel the stress,

Feel the anxiety melt away with each breath.

Each time you exhale,

Visualize the stress,

The anxiety,

The blockage of the mind being released from your body.

As you continue to breathe deeply,

Visualize a pair of scales in your mind's eye.

One side of the scales represent your past mistakes,

The other side represents future possibilities.

With each exhale,

Imagine adding weights to the side that represents future possibilities.

Continue to breathe and add weights until you feel the scales tip in favor of a brighter future.

Understand that you have the power to create a more optimistic outlook on your life.

Continue to add weights,

Feel the scales tip in favor of a brighter future,

Of a more joyful future,

One where you are happy regardless of what is going on in your external circumstances.

You have the power to give yourself joy,

Happiness,

And purpose.

All it requires is retraining your neural pathways.

Now,

Let's reconnect with the sources of joy in your life.

Allow yourself to continue to breathe deeply.

Think about three to five activities or experiences that used to bring you tremendous joy.

Allow these memories to come into your awareness without judgment.

Take a moment to visualize yourself engaging in each of these activities or experiencing these joyful moments once again.

Feel the happiness and contentment they bring to your heart.

With each breath,

Allow the joy from these memories to fill your entire being from the top of your head to the tip of your toes.

Allow yourself to feel the joy,

The happiness from these memories,

And understand that feelings are simply a biological algorithm and you could play the algorithm anytime you replay a memory.

External circumstances do not matter.

Only your state of being matters and you can shift your state of being simply by remembering joyful memories.

As you continue to bask in the warmth of these joyful experiences,

Set an intention to reintroduce these activities or experiences into your life in a safe,

Healthy,

And joyful manner.

Take a moment to envision yourself taking small,

Achievable steps to engage with these sources of joy in the coming weeks.

Imagine and feel the positive impact this will have on your life as you move forward with optimism.

Understand that when you access this joy,

More synchronicities will come into your life,

More abundance will come into your life,

And you will recognize this because you are in an open,

Joyful state of being.

That is the importance of understanding that your outside reality reflects your internal state.

So we will be focusing on changing your internal reality to manifest the external reality that you would like to live in.

Now,

Allow yourself to take a few more deep breaths,

Inhaling slowly through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.

With each exhale,

Release any lingering worries or concerns about the past.

Embrace the optimism and joy you have cultivated during this meditation.

And as we come to the end of this guided meditation,

Feel the joy and take a moment to express gratitude for the opportunity to reconnect with the sources of joy in your life and the ability to create a more optimistic future.

Gently bring your awareness back to your surroundings.

Slowly wiggle your fingers and toes.

And when you feel ready,

Open your eyes.

Remember the intentions you set during this meditation and carry the optimism and joy as you move forward with your day.

Anytime you are feeling stressed,

Anytime you are stuck in your head,

Brilliant! I love this track! Soothing voice, ethereal background music, and so relaxing. It's very much in line with where I'm at right now. During the day, in my mind, I find myself randomly listing things I appreciate, all the things that give me joy and make me smile.. just because it feels good..
